Here are some photos from a sandstorm that threatened a U.S. maintenance area in Kuwait. Former Liberty County resident Brian Orent sent the photos. I'm unsure who shot the photos. Here's what Brian said about it: OK....when I say we have SANDSTORMS in the middle east....this is what I talk about...I have only seen this once since I have been here...usually it is just the winds pick up a little and seem to stir it all up....but there are the occasional that are a WALL of sand. keep in mind...this is not sand as you know it....this is more like DUST....the sand is VERY FINE....so this stuff stays airborn for a LONG time and gets into EVERYTHING....
