If we're lucky, our sister city relationship with Yichun in China will be as fruitful as that similar arrangement we have with a South Korean community.

Yes, $11,000 later plus reciprocal lodging, etc., when the Chinese repay the visit. Timing is sometimes everything and now is not the time to be spending taxpayers' dollars on boondoggles to China: National financial crisis, cuts in State funding to counties, unpopular marina purchase, construction of overreaching county facilities, upcoming SPLOST vote, etc. With this kind of judgment, no wonder local government is in such a mess!

As an over taxed paying citizen of Liberty County 'I' do not, repeat 'I' DO NOT want a 'unnecessary', I repeat 'UNNECESSARY' trip taken to China. Speak the truth, it amounts to B___S___!

The Chairman is up for reelection on November 4. He is running unopposed. If there is so much discontent with his performance and that of the other county commissioners why does he not have an opponent?

The only way you can lodge your dissatisfaction now is to under-vote that office. If every voter in the county refused to vote for him (except his family, of course) would that send a message?
