Take Me To Post Comment Form What has happened to Bradwell Football? Will Someone explain? I'm mot trying to be sarcastic. But for years, Bradwell Football has not been a team of contention. What happened? Where are those players like a Dominique Blassingame, or a Quinton Lewis, or a John Stewart, or a Raymomnd Gross? There are many more names that I can use but it will be a long list of them.

I will say this, at least during Former Coach Clifford Johnson days of coaching, The Tigers did show some great winning sub region games, and when it was region 3-AAAA, The Tigers dominated that Region.

At least for that Region, The Tigers, were a team that had their respect on the football field, and against ALL Region 3-AAAA opponents. They were a team that Other teams in that Region feared, and planned well ahead in the Season to face those Tigers.

Now, they are just a mediocre football team. No one takes them serious at all. Maybe a few non contending Savannah Schools, but for the most part, they are not a football contender anymore.

According to the AJC, the Region 3-AAAAA Football Teams are weak, and the Region are full of non-contending football teams. All except for Football Powerhouse Camden County, who has dominated the Bradwell Tigers Football Team for years.

The citizens of Hinesville are probably scared to say it but I'm not. Is it the Coaches fault? I would say so. The head coach complacent, and is probably using a play book dated back years that Retired Former Coach Clifford Johnson was using.

Can't Bradwell Institute head coach see that those old relics plays does not work anymore? The Head Coach, probably still uses plays from the old days like 21 trap, which does not work any longer with the style of defensive that a Camden County Power uses. Simple plays like sweep right or sweep left does not work against a school like Football Power Camden County.

We all know that the football Program is not just a sport in Hinesville. It is also big business. The Program bring a lot of money to the school. The Boosters need to put some pressure on the Coach to develop better plays and develop better players for the team. Or find a Coach that could, and would.
