I saw the photos posted of the dog dumped on Davis Road. I live on the other side of the county, so I had no idea the animal was left there. I understand the couple that spotted the dog has a houseful already, I know that hardship myself. How many other people knew that dog had been dumped before that couple and didn't even bother to call animal control. I just do not understand the "I don't give a &*%$!@* attitude" with people anymore. Not just the one that dumped the animal, but every *&%$!@* that passed it by without so much as offering it a bowl of food or water. I hope the *&$!@*, *&%$@!*, *&%$!@ that dumped the dog has to suffer the worst possible in his/her life. I hope whoever you are you read this and have enough guts to send me an email to meet with you so I can give you a dose of what life has to offer, you piece of *&%!@%*. Anyone of you cheap *&%$!@* that knew that animal was there could have gone in the Exxon and bought it a bottle of water and some food. Maybe one day you fat *&!@%$#* will get to suffer the same faith as that dog. There is no reason that anyone should dump, abuse, starve, neglect, etc., etc., any animal. The only possible explanation for some piece of *&%!#$@* doing that is because you are a piece of *&@#!%*. I hope you get this message you piece of *&%$!* I'm waiting on yours. Editor's note said the dog died over the weekend, does anyone know the actual cause of death?

I sent a message to the ones that posted the photos offering to help, because I did not know what was going on with the animal either. I didn't hear anything back, but saw where the lady wrote to the editor's page. I'm sorry the dog suffered, it's shameful anyone would do that to an animal or as you said see it and continue to let it go on. A while back I heard someone through a dog in the dumpsters still chained to a log. It's this innerbred mentality. Remember the photo of that skinny little light colored bull dog that was in the paper reference the drug raid at a Midway residence. I've never heard another thing of it. I wish this county would actually force the prosecution of their innerbred family members.

I want to know if someone killed the dog? Just going by the photos it looked to be healthy.

Here's a story for you. I was sitting in State Court and a case on animal cruelty was presented to the Judge by Animal Control. A unmarried couple was fighting, during the fight the man took a just weaned puppy belonging to the women and hung it by the neck, choking and made the women watch while the puppy suffered and died. Apparently during the fight 911 was called and the law officer called Animal Control to the scene. Animal Control took photos of the crime and presented them in court. In the court room the couple had made up and was all loving on each other, sickening. The Judge threw the case out on lack of evidence. Tell me, you don't think that was a pay off? I certainly think it had to do with that lawyer and Judge trading out favors. I was told a certain lawyer and Judge had a bartering agreement, if you know what I mean, and if you want a case thrown out just hire that lawyer. It's on the records of Animal Control if anyone wants to check it out.

Ask God why EVIL exists in the world and you will have your answer as to WHY people are the way they are. It breaks my heart that the innocent suffers at the hands of those vessels of EVIL. They will go back to where they belong... an eternal hell awaits them. Meanwhile we shed rivers of tears for those who fall into their snares...the children and animals are those that break my heart the most. I am so tired of crying rivers of tears, can no one understand and respect all of God's creations of life? I just don't understand either...

Right on, JuneBug! The person who abandoned that poor dog is an absolute scummy jerk with no regard for life. He or she deserves much worse than what the dog suffered through. However, I'm still horrified that the woman who found the sad little creature did not unchain it and take it home. I wish someone had alerted me. I'd have taken it in a heartbeat -- dirty and mosquito-covered or not. If she didn't want it in her house with her other animals, she could have put it in the shade in her backyard for the weekend and taken it to the shelter on Monday. It would have meant the difference between life and death for that dog. If she had been a true animal lover, she'd have done whatever it took to save that dog's life. Shame on her as well.

MelieC, I agree the couple should have taken the dog home for the weekend and taken action on the situation the following Monday after the dog had some proper care, and so should one of any pieces of &*%$@!* that saw the dog in those conditions. I'm sure they all have a self satisfying reason why, but the truth probably is they didn't want to put forth the effort when it's easier just to talk about it. There is no excuses for the situation to have turned out this way when so many "caring" people were aware, including the "caring" police officer and the "caring" professionals of Animal Control. This was a situation that should have been taken care of, if by no one else by the professionals when they were alerted. No one, not one "caring" piece of *@%&!* reached out to that animal in need of it's place in life, *&%$@!* you!

WhatsHotLips commented on Friday, Sep 19, 2008 at 00:21 AM

MC, I agree and was wondering that myself. You would think however, the police officer would have done something. I don't get how anyone can knowingly just leave a bad situation to get worse. Isn't the reason we have law enforcement is to be a civilized humane country?

JuneBug commented on Friday, Sep 19, 2008 at 03:20 AM

WHL, the innocent without choice has to trust in humanity and all that "AUTHORITY" can't accomplish a *&%#@!* thing, what a joke! GET OFF YOUR AUTHORITATIVE *&%$#@!* AND DO YOUR *&%$#@* JOB SO THE INNOCENT DON'T SUFFER, *&%$!*%.

MelieC commented on Friday, Sep 19, 2008 at 09:08 AM

And speaking of people doing their jobs, JuneBug, did you happen to see the article on the front page of today's Coastal Courier? Apparently, the police officer who responded to the call about the abandoned dog DID NOT do his job. He simply told the woman who called that animal control did not work on the weekend and left. However, in the article, the animal control director says that his agency DOES in fact have an after-hours emergency number that the cop should have called. Also, it says Bob Sprinkle, the asst. county administrator, said animal control SHOULD have been notified and one of his agents would have done something about the situation. SOOOOO senseless! It seems everyone involved here dropped the ball. This dog could have been saved several times over, but through a series of idiotic mistakes, it ended up being hit by a car. Breaks my heart.

JuneBug commented on Friday, Sep 19, 2008 at 20:01 PM

Yes MelieC, I just read it, one "caring" professional blaming the other and the dog is still dead. Do you think the sadness this animal suffered will be in vain? Do you think it will get all of those "caring" professionals up off their all important *&%$#! *&%$@!* to "START" doing their jobs? I wonder, if that police officer was suspended without pay and had to wonder where his food and shelter would come from (maybe if he was "LUCKY" some "caring" piece of *@!#%* would give him a handout) if he would have some idea of what that animal felt? Is that officer new or just to lazy of a piece of *&%$@!* to make a phone call? Had Animal Control notified the law enforcement agencies prior to this about the after hours number? If so, the fault is with the department heads, all that "AUTHORITY" and can't accomplish a *&%$#!@* thing! That animals suffering has now proven to many just what a *&%$#!* joke you are.

WhatsHotLips commented on Friday, Sep 19, 2008 at 21:26 PM

I don't honestly think Animal Control would have put forth the effort either. They would have used another excuse of something like "it's not considered an emergency". All those "caring" professionals needs to "think" by putting themselves in a bad situation. Maybe then they would try using some common sense. Who and how would determine an emergency situation? Professional think for yourself common sense?

Does it seem odd that someone would throw out a carrier by the side of the road instead of giving it away? And that dog just happened to take up shelter in it? I know by reading the paper that it was questioned, but it does not make sense. It appears the carrier was that dog's original home. You wouldn't think someone would leave traseable identity, but it is obvious whoever did this to the dog is an "IDIOT".

There is a case in the courts here in Georgia that will potentially change the legal definition of animals from being owned property to being companions. It is the hope, this new definition will make changing and enforcing laws for prosecution of animal abuse/cruelty easier.

JuneBug commented on Saturday, Sep 20, 2008 at 19:25 PM

I think the definition is just another excuse, when the actions are the same, cruel. A word or phrase has not been the problem, case in point. All it would take to enforce and prosecute is all the "caring" professionals to actually do their *&%$#!* jobs.

There was a case taken before State Court by the owners of a dog that their neighbor stabbed with a pitch fork. The neighbor was fined a whole forty five dollars. Isn't that a fine example of those "caring" professionals doing a half *&%$@!* job!

P.S. To the "PIECE OF *&^%$@!*" that dumped the dog, I'm still waiting for that e-mail.
