Before you dismiss the fact that Sarah Palin Is Commander of the Alaska National Guard, Consider this:

Alaska is the first line of Defense in our missile
interceptor defense system. The 49th. Missle Defense Alaska

National Guard is the unit that pritects the entire nation from ballistic missle attacks. It is on permanent active duty, unlike other Guard units.

As governor of Alaska , Palin is briefed on highly classified military issues, homeland security , and counterterrorism. Her exposure to classified material may
rival eaven Biden,s and certainly exceeds Obama's .

She's also the commander in chief of the Alaska State Defense Force ( ASDF ) a federally recognized militia incorporated into Homeland Security's counterrorism plans.

Palin is privy to military and intelligence secrets that are vital to the entire country's defense. Given Alaska's proximity to Russia, she may have security clearances we don't eaven know about. According to the Washington Post , she first met with McCain in February,
but nobody ever found out. This is a Woman used to keeping secrets.

She can be entrusted with our national security,
because she allready is.

I suppose we need to worry about 30 year old poorly maintain missles coming from Russia. I suppose that the Chinese have the latest in navigational technology and that Chinese missle will be able to avoid Missile Defense Batteries in California, Oregon, or Washington State. There is nothing about Palin and McCain that impresses me. I believe Obama would be just as capable of preserving our military and defending our country. Republicans can no longer stake claim to being the most knowledgeable and pratriotic to the defense of this nation. It's time to bring our men and women home and give them the things they deserve...because they have given everything in sweat, blood, and tears. We owe them this much!

kmc15, it's not my intention to criticize your comment about bringing the troops home (nothing would please me more), I just do not think that will ever be possible because we are now entangled in current and future wars of the middle east. My opinion, Obama is too inexperienced and McCain left me with a bad taste when he had his head up Bush's rearend. Not much of a choice, if you ask me.
