Take Me To Post Comment Form Good news! The Lunchtime Concert in the Park Series has confirmed concert dates for August, September, and October to finish up the 2008 season.

The next concert is scheduled for Friday, August 22nd, featuring the Courtenay Brothers courtesy of The Heritage Bank. You can check out the popular duo's pic and music at www.courtenaybrothers.com. You won't want to miss this great concert. There will be a few surprises in store for attendees (I'm sworn to secrecy so please don't ask). The concert is in Bradwell Park from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm.

Another reason to enjoy your lunch in the park with us August 22nd - Vann Wheeler of Vann's has agreed to be an on-site food vendor. So here's your chance to enjoy one of your favorite downtown restuarants in the Park with great music - and don't forget the "surprises".n Of course you can also bring your picnic lunch or purchase from local eateries.

You may notice the event has changed from Thursday's to Friday's. This changed was made mostly due to community input, which I always welcome. The common voice was that the working community is more likely to take an extended lunch and lunch with friends/co-workers on a Friday. They also pointed out that Fridays are casual for several local businesses, so employees will feel more comfortable, less worried about messing up business attire, or being too warm.

Here's what you can look forward to in the coming months for the Lunchtime Concert in the Park:
Friday, September 19th - Bottles and Cans (Jazz Group) presented by GA Power.
Friday, OCtober 17th - The Dave Maul Band (Blues/Jazz) presented by OMI.

The Luncthime Concert in the Park Series is sponsored by: The Hinesville Area Arts Council; THe Coastal Courier; and The Hinesville Downtown Development Authority. We are currently scheduling sponsors and performing groups for the 2009 Concert series.
