Take Me To Post Comment Form Why is someone that owns a house on Jerico Lake that doesn't live there (should not qualify homestead exemption), and who also owns and resides in a home in Hinesville, along with some other properties only paying around $400.00 a year on the Jerico Lake property when everyone else on the lake is paying around a thousand or more? I didn't think property tax rates were based on last names, is that the reason the property maps were taken off the internet (Clerk of Courts site)to keep the public from checking up?
