Those amazing men and there flying machine thrilled thousands of children and there parents and grandparents who attended the air show at The Midcoast Regional Airport at Wright Army Air Field.

The air show was named 2008 salute the troops air show. But in reality it was a salute to the children, the little battle buddies who stayed behind for there service and sacrifice while there parents were deployed.

Military families have always stood together in service to our nation. The air show gave our returning soldiers the opportunity to resume there roles as parents. To bond with there children at an event there little battle buddies will remember the rest of there lives.

To all of the event organizers, sponsors, and volunteers who made the air show possible. I would like to say thank you. You know in your hearts that you’ve done a good thing for the children of the 3rd ID.
