Please see the attached flier to give you more information about Community Safe Kids Day!
The event is Saturday, May 17 from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. in Hinesville at Bradwell Park (behind the courthouse). There will tons of useful information for parents about how to keep their children safe in a world where unintential injuries is the leading cause of death among children. Every year more than 1 million children die, and many more are injured, by accidents that could have been prevented.
We all want to make a difference. We all want to live in a community that cares about its citizens and shows their care in tangible ways.
During the event many local agencies will be on hand to assist parents and children with things such as: fingerprinting, bicycle safety, drunk driving information, car seat installation, Neighborhood Watch and gunlock and gun safety. The Fire Safety House will also be on-site to teach children about what to do in case of a house fire. It is also the intention of this group to provide an outlet for local agencies to advertise community events, which may be of interest to parents and children.
Please feel free to call our Crime Prevention Officer John Williams at 368-8211, with any questions or concerns that you may have.
