40th Anniversary of MLK's Murder

Take Me To Post Comment Form

April 4 is the 40th anniversary of the assassination of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

U2 sang in "Pride (In the Name of Love)"

"Early morning, April 4
Shot rings out in the Memphis sky
Free at last, they took your life
They could not take your pride"

His work still continues today as we try to move past the ignorance, anger and prejudices and work towards having a society where people are “judged by their character and not by the color of their skin. We are making a lot of progress, but we have a long way to go.

I just wish Christians were doing a better job of leading in this effort. I am trying to do my part. Will you do yours?
