I am the president of The Liberty Humane Shelter and we would gladly give full disclosure of our accounting.
The new board has been in office for 10 months and I will assure you that all funds have been handled properly. I can not and will not comment on the past.
You apparently are not a member of the Humane Shelter and you have not apparently gone out to the shelter. If you had done either you would know where the funds have gone in these past 10 months. We have made many many improvements that you see, smell, and feel. Anyone that has been involved with us know that we are doing all that we can do for these animals while they are in our care.
I would like to invite you out to the shelter, I will come out and give you a tour or just go out yourself and see our facility. Just remember that we are the humane shelter side and we are not the animal control side. We are two entirely different organizations under one roof.
Also, we are constantly begging for volunteers, are you interested in helping us. I would love for you to come to our meetings. We meet usually the second Monday of each month. If you would like more on the meetings, you may call the shelter at any time and they can give you more information of where it will be and what time. 912-876-3647
I ask that you please join us in our mission to save the animals in Liberty County. I think that when and if you get involved that you will see that we are doing all that we can do.
