I was in Savannah Sunday and the average gas price was around $3.40 so I have no idea where that $3.54 came from.
I purchased gas for $3.38 in Savannah Sunday.
Its 3.39 right now at Sams Club off 95 in Pooler. but that was from a wtoc story, so I dont know either.
As I watch one of the great "business" movies of our times - "Other People's Money" on Encore - I am reminded of one of the great concepts of the free enterprise system (as cited above as well): Greed.
Greed not only drives the oil companies, but it drives the great business engine which has catapulted this country to the top of the heap. So let's not forget those immortal words of Gordon Gekko:
"....."greed," for lack of a better word, is good. Greed is right, greed works. Greed clarifies, cuts through, and captures the essence of the evolutionary spirit. Greed, in all of its forms; greed for life, for money, for love, knowledge has marked the upward surge of mankind. And greed, you mark my words, will not only save Teldar Paper, but that other malfunctioning corporation called the USA."
To repeat something I wrote here on these pages a while back..."when history is written regarding this time it will be seen as the fossil fuel consumption-depletion era of mankind led by ineffectual leaders and a lust for greed."
That is IF history is written...cuz when Iran gets the bomb a nuclear holocaust will soon ensue as they will use it either thru Al Quaida or themselves to destroy Israel. Ahmadinajad has already stated that he intends to "wipe Israel of the face of the map in a wind of fire..."
The other scenario is a pre-emptive strike by Israel against Iran with their nukes. Either way, a nuclear exchange will soon take place and it won't be a "limited" one.
We all will end up vaporized. Liberals, Moderates, Conservatives and the Fabian Socialists.
