Tea and crumpets?

Okay, so I grew up where tea was the common. And not the fridge variety either.

Though I have to admit I was more of a coffee boy, I did enjoy a cup of sweetened hot tea every once in a while. For me though, better as it may be for you, tea just hasn't become the norm; until now.

My wife bought me a tin of tea some time back and I never did try it. I never even opened it. Then the other day I decided to have a cup and opened the still sealed can.

Chocolate-Mint. "What a combination for tea", I thought, but it smelled good and I continued to give it a try.

Delicious is a word I don't often use when it comes to the flavours of a tea bag, but it was. The very next phrase that came to mind was, "This stuff is really good!".

I am enjoying it so much that I thought I would share it with you. It's by Harney & Sons Fine Teas, comes in a red tin and is a "Black Tea with Chocolate and Peppermint". You'll know you have the right tin when you open it to find those new little pyramid shaped tea bags and the beautiful choco-mint aroma!

I highly recommend you give this a try, even if you're not a big fan of teas. If you don't like chocolate or mint, try another flavour. I'm going to. As for the price, I honestly don't know what it is right now or where my wife got it from, but I'm sure it was the Wal or Krogers.

So, with that I will end my tea blog. Now I just need to find some real crumpets to go with the tea or perhaps some chocolate-mint biscuits?

The way you describe it I'd be afraid to try it. I have an addictive personality and already love tea, mint and chocolate. The thought of them together sparks memories of the withdrawals I had while quitting tobacco. I just don't think I could go through that again.

Maybe I was a bit enthusiastic in my description, but it is really good. With this combo, you'd probably be in heaven with your predicament of already enjoying tea, chocolate and mint. :-)

Congrats on the quitting. I too gave it up a few years ago and don't want to go back, but sometimes...

Anyway, the tea may not be for everyone.
