Siafu, my friend:

I love the level of passion in your delivery. In the beginning of this huge diatribe, I confess that my annoyance in seeing what appeared to be a barrage of advertising concerning the Linux Project may have prevailed. Initially, my intent was to question the use of the Blogosphere for the purpose of business promotion. As our exchange of volleys continued, my interest shifted more to formulating an argument that your speech, in essence violated certain rules laid out by the Courier: not in the spirit of limiting your free speech, but more for the purpose of soliciting your defense (a point for which I have succeeded).

Honestly, I am shocked at the time commitment you have spent in devising this response, and I must say I am most impressed by the color coding. I specially enjoy that you have taken time to dive into some of my older blogs. Hopefully, the information was useful!

Please, believe me…this is not personal. I find it entertaining. Incidentally, if you are interested in researching some of my opines you’ll find I am pretty opinionated, but that I am fair. I call things for what I see them and have often supported the opinions of others when I agree with their view.

I wish you all the luck in the world my ant friend (referencing the Siafu ant of Africa, a small but fierce fighter whose army members can remove the heads of others in a single snap). I do hope the Linux Project is a HUGE success.

P.S. You can't just ignore me! If you could...why did you read this entire posting?

I must say I find you to be interesting. I too have found this entertaining and I do not wish to ignore you completely, just to drop this particular issue. Though I do hope that we can be friends.

Life is somewhat boring for me here in Hinesville and is a part of the reason I started the project we are discussing so enthusiastically.

Some years back I had attempted and eventually got a domain name, since then I shifted ideas for the open source agenda and now wish to somewhat create a community effort again as well. Linux and open source is my true passion though. But I do not have the finances, resources, intent nor desire to be in competition with anyone.

You did, however, bring to my attention that I should be careful how I use this site in my efforts and I appreciate it.

And yes, Siafu is a viscous ant that is also known to chase elephants from jungles. Though another reason I like the ant is that they have one of the largest colony's in the world; 20 million give or take a few thousand. Yet they work together to move their colony at least once a month, every month! They stick and work together for the better of the community.

You too do your research I see.

Regards
Siafu

Wouldn't be nice if we could take a hint from them?
