The People for Change network will be meeting October 1, 2010 (location and time to be announced).

This is a "solution" meeting and will be addressing solutions that we can present to the county officials.

I am excited to announce Rick DuCharme, founder and director of First Coast No More Homeless Pets in Jacksonville, will be our guest speaker! FCNMHP is the 3rd largest low cost spay/neuter clinic in the U.S. and has partnered with Liberty County via Animal Haven of Hope Society, Inc. and Long County via Zoi's Place.

Mr. Rick will be presenting fascinating facts about how a low cost spay/neuter program in this community will significantly reduce the intake of unwanted pets in Liberty County.

This is a meeting you don't want to miss.

It is our hope that representatives from The Spay/Neuter Alliance and Clinic, N.C. will come and present their success story to us in the near future!

I have had the opportunity to work with Rick since last Fall when AHHS started utilizing the FCNMHP clinic. If I had to use only one word to describe Rick, it would be "impressive". His knowledge alone will knock your socks off. He has the ability to guide anyone who sincerely has a desire to work toward the goal of "No More Homeless Pets". If our government officials will simply open their ears - and their minds - to the options that Rick is willing to share with us, then we have taken more than just a step, we have started building a bridge that can unite us all.

Even though I have already had the chance to "pick" Rick's brain, I can't wait until the next meeting.

I have some solutions that I would like to offer. Or is this another public, or not so public meeting?

Again, that offer still stands

If you really want to rescue those dying animals, come on out to LHS, I will be glad to help with the agency transfers.

I am a big girl that can put everything aside to save a few animals. Are you?

It is sad that the animals are the ones being punished.

Thanks to those groups that are trying to save some. We will do the best we can.
