Valentine's Day is my mother's birthday and my brother's is two days after that. Later in the month, is my boyfriend's birthday and two days later is his sister's birthday. His niece was also born in the wee hours of yesterday morning. So even if I didn't think it was way over commercialized and celebrating Saints that really have nothing to do with romance, I'm so busy mailing bday cards and getting presents that I just don't even care about the holiday.
As for being depressed about having your wedding anniversary on Valentine's Day while your husband is deployed, at least it is just one day to mourn over. People married on other days have two occasions to be bummed.
That being said, congratulations on another year of marriage :-)
my mom chose APRIL FOOL'S DAY for her 3rd marriage....so far it has worked? Talk about reverse psychology! :)
Well.. all this reminds me of how I was once in the military.. Came back from the field and it was right on v-day. That woman was cheating on me real bad. Walked in on it man. She said dont ruin v-day for her.. Id never date a lady from this area again. She sent me box of love in iraq, only the whole time had mr.bang on the side. Messed up
AW35, like the post. This is good therapy for you and gives us something new to read. I just hinted to my valentine for lots of beautiful flowers. Btw, you are not to eat chocolates, do you HEAR me? NO!...
Hmm well, awkward moment here Bentley. But im sure youve heard this a ton before but there are more out there. And good ones too, try goin gthe older woman route. Im 8 years older than my husband. As older women we arent out to party. Were out of our 20s, raised our kids, doing for us and mostly are ready to settle down. I wasnt too sure about him when i met him being so young, but he was a wild child in his done and done it all and was ready to settle down as well. I can see where V day might leave a bad taste in your mouth, shall i say. But as painful as that was, learn from it and put it behind ya. I had to learn that lesson myself and being a bartender a.k.a underpaid therapist, ive seen a lot of very bitter men and women who cant seem to move on and get past it and it ruin any future ones they have. So good luck Bentley! And like i said, GO OLDER. Call me all the names ya want.. COugar, Puma, Cradlerobber (which the men call me, the women high 5 me,lol) but we are happier than two pigs in mud, lol.
WHL, ill try to stay away! But that sugar free choocolate has the worst aftertaste!!!! BLEAHHHH
Jimmy that just blows! DO 1-800-flowers and you get to pick what you want and what you want on the card:)
And i feel you Erin on birthdays. My son's is March 6,husband is march 22, daughter is march 23. brother is April22 and my other daughter is may 19 and mine is june 9. Beginning of year is so busy for me!!!
Armwf, To be frankly factual. Fast, and cheating women come in all ages. She was older than I. To add on that, no offense but older women can't offer me any promises with birthing a child, (baggage? blah!) Nice opinion though. My last woman was 41 and had more men then the bachelor show! Whats that called? Mid life crisis? Not just that, but she had more wrinkles, popped more pills, and she went through more men then ft.knox! Age an issue? No.. It really has to do with a ladies morals. And there are many older women who have no common sense and if she is single at 40-45 doesnt mean that they want to settle down any more than a younger woman or lady.. Take it from a man who has dated older!
And as a man, I have been working since the age of 16 and never saw a party or bar in my whole life! Nor did I or my younger sisters ever go through a partying age. We were brought up to go to church regular, couldn't date till we were 21, and my sisters and I never saw a club, party, or bar. I actually hear there are more older women in bars trying to reclaim their youth with younger men. Well they aint getting me! Nothing worse than getting with a stuffy woman who is stuck in her ways and has no physical drive! lol.. Ive been there don that! Just had to clear that up.
And.. My two sisters are good ladies and married at 27 and 31. Never had they saw a day of partying or wild life, neither had I. Prior my younger sister karla broke up with a man who was 42. She said all he wanted to do was be young again, had midlife crisis, had an ultra super ego, ran with younger men, and was greedy. She finally left him when she found out he had dating profiles looking for women age 18-20 She left him and now that older man is still single. That just made me think of how my sisters tried older..shhhh. That did not work. lol
Haha, point taken..but lets not forget the men that do that in just as big of numbers as women. Women in bars recapturing youth?? Not harldy. Men in bars trying to get laid?? Hahaha, thats an understatement. Im glad you went to church and you and your sisters came froma very solid family with good family values. So did I and ive been in a bar and some clubs and it didnt make my morals change. But a majority of the women that go into a bar or club are actually just there to have fun. Dance with thier girlfriends, have a few drinks and really just have a good time. Not all women, i know this. Im not a spring chicken either so ive seen a lot more than ya think. But as MY experience with the older men, well has been just as bad as your experience with younger women. when men hit a mid life crisis it is really something to behold. Women will do drastic things to themselves, but men, wow. Trading in wives that were with them for years and years for a 25 year old cause the body is perfect, or he buys her a newer body. buys exotic cars, etc etc.As a bartender i see a lottttttttt. And its mostly the men. Women can rip hearts out and stomp on em, im not saying its all the men. But lets be fair in this and lay blame on both sides.
