President George W. Bush last year in office budget deficit was 500 billion and increased to 600 billion before the banks collapsed and TARP was passed which added 700 billion to the deficit for Bush. This is the 1.3 Trillion budget deficit that President Obama said he inherited. I't is a fact that during the Bush administration there was to much spending and a lack of fiscal responsibility. Bush inherited a 200 billion surplus from President Clinton and quadrupled it by the end of his 8 year term. However according to the Senate Finance Committee any loan acquired by the Federal Government is considered spending, to include some additional breaking news which was acquired. Apparently 500 of the 700 billion in TARP has been paid back to the Feds, which reduces Dubya's deficit to 800 billion still nothing to be proud of. BHO spent 300 billion of the TARP money on his 787 billion Stimulus bill and he also passed the OMINUS bill which was 400 billion, culminating in the 1. 5 Trillion deficit that BHO has proposed. This bill was held over from 2008 and Bush would not sign it. The OMNIBUS had a substancial amount of Earmaks embedded within it. BHO has doubled the budget deficit in one year and who knows what will come next. Look out for HYPER INFLATION and INTEREST RATES. It has been a year since BHO has taken office, time to tighten up the bootstraps and take responsibility.

I think we can all agree he inherited a mess, but does he have the experience to make the tough decisions needed to lead us thru this.

Here are two ways to lower the budget deficit.

1. Cancel the next STIMULUS PACKAGE, Proposed Jobs Bill.

2. Do not spend the balance of the past STIMULUS PACKAGE,

3. Over 800 billion in savings.

4. BHO's Economic Cabinet has less experience than any other in US HISTORY at 7%. The previous low was held by the Kennedy Administration at 25% experience in the private sector.

4. The Euphoric Feeling Of Omniputant Ecstacy At The Mere Sight Or Sound Of The Anointed One.

(Obama Mania)

Compliments of Sean Hannity.

Good reporting, scary but good... When you say take responsibility, I hope you are pointing your finger at Washington politicians, not average Joe! I anticipate hyper inflation starting end of 2010 or beginning of 2011. Best to clean up your finances and stay as far out of debt as one can these days...

Let's be clear (I love that saying): there any many blogs from both the left and right that have been very effective at cutting and pasting. Funk is not parroting for the right any more than you or Murrelet parrot for the left. He's simply providing information from another source, and he identified the source at the end of the post. Sorry it wasn't to APA standards, but he did give credit!

WHL, thanks for your vote of confidence, and yes my primary focus is the Washington politcians. However we need to continue to promote a primary constituent , during the first week of Training

Will the economy recover or will it fall into another tail spin? How long will either take?

Trillion dollar questions, Joe...

You have a greater belief in people than I do Jimmy. IMHO while people scream they want change, the thought of change frightens them. An analogy would be of a man who goes to the doctor with a broken leg. The doctor tells him that the leg has an old break which did not heal properly and he will have to break the leg and reset it so it heals properly. The man being afraid of the pain associated with it being rebroken and set, decides he will live with the limp and current pain. Fixing what is wrong with our government could be a painful process which would require some sacrifice, which most americans don't want to hear.

WOW! A level-headed bi-partisan conversation. My faith is restored! Jimmy, I couldn't agree more with you when you say people are going to rise to occasion. I think a revolution of sorts is on the horizon, or may have already started.

WhatsHotLips commented on Wednesday, Feb 03, 2010 at 21:54 PM

It will take an all out revolt, Tom... Don't see that happening in the U.S...

Power To The People Jimmy, BTW ya'll on my last post anything after thanking WHL and identifying the primary focus of our distrust is a typo, I need to get some rest LOL! All of us want what's best for our Country to propsper, and if we continue to express our views in a respectful manner, we find more common ground amongst us regardless of political affiliation.

I'm interested also, but remember I'm a moderate conservative with a little Libertarianism, Traditional Liberal expecting bipartisanship!!!

DStrykr commented on Wednesday, Feb 10, 2010 at 11:01 AM

What is this deficit anyway? We pay our taxes to a private bank who then charges us interest to make withdrawals. The Federal Reserve Bank is no more federal than Federal Express and until people start realizing this, our deficit is going to continue to increase!

Funkentelecky commented on Saturday, Feb 13, 2010 at 23:44 PM

Jimmy, I agree with your correction on NON-PARTISANSHIP sounds very good to me. The Standard would have to be the U.S Constitution, which our Presidents are sworn to uphold.

burgher commented on Saturday, Feb 13, 2010 at 23:56 PM

Jimmy, your last entry was the smartest thing anyone has said since I stared reading the Courier blogs! I do wonder, though, how you, Funky, Murrelet, TandS, etc...could really go down the middle on anything. When you figure it out, I'll go round up my posse and enlist!

Funkentelecky commented on Sunday, Feb 14, 2010 at 00:02 AM

I'm more than willing to follow the U.S. Constitution and it's approved ammendments!
