City of Hinesville district maps....

I am currently working on creating individual city district maps. I was able to get a less then desirable map of Hinesville which depicts where each district lies regarding our elected city council persons for each district. Fortunately I was able to decipher where each district starts and ends and am color coding around the areas so one can see the street names that is within a district. Once completed I will have it available for folks that live in these districts along with the information of who your current district city council person is. I hope to have this completed by early to mid December.

I want each and every citizen of Hinesville to know who their council person is and start getting to know them. If they are not active in your district then start demanding that they hold at minimum Hinesville district town halls every quarter and make you a part of the process as to what is done in this city.THEY WORK FOR US. WE HIRED THEM BY VOTING THEM IN and even if you did not vote them in they are still your sitting city council person.

I have only seen one district sitting city council person this year have a district town hall meeting and opened to the public which was council person Diana Reid from district one which was held a couple weeks ago at HPD courtroom. Although I am not in her district I went to that meeting since it was open to the public and learned a lot about how city government works, what is being done and what isn't.

It is our responsibility to get involved in our communities and with our city council representatives. It is also their responsibility to keep us informed and be proactive in their own districts and be in touch with us.

We have yet to hear from sitting city council persons from district 2 to 5 setting up a district town hall meeting for their constituents. We need to start demanding that they do.

If they are not in touch with us and making us a part of the process then we need to tell them come re-election time YOUR FIRED and replace them with someone that is a people person and who truly has the interest of the people they are serving.

You may want to consider joining the citizens of Hinesville coalition at facebook.com/groups/COHCGA to stay up to date of what is going on in your district and city.

LCarol you seem to be on a mission and as long as your purpose is to improve our governing boards and their office holders we here who participate on this Coastal Courier blog site will support you.

Your display of liberalism will attract some followers for sure. It will also be a turn off for others.

President Trump is not the force which has made this country as divided as it is today.

Our country has been becoming more and more divided for the past fifty to sixty years.

Many things contributed to our ever increasing division throughout all those years.

Barrack Hussian(sp)Obama had the greatest opportunity that will ever have been had by anyone to put to rest division for once and for all.

Instead of promoting unity Obama chose to anoint society with the greatest amount of divisive influence ever to come from the White House.

Indeed Donald J. Trump was elected because of the great division already existing last year.

Carry on.

Barack Hussein Obama is a progressive. I consider progressives as re-gressives and I'm very competent at presenting clear and true examples;

In August of 2008 Rick Warren hosted "Saddleback" where he asked Obama and McCain, Do you believe in gay marriage and they both acknowledged they believe in traditional marriage between one man and one woman. There had been reports that Obama was for gay marriage but we didn't find out for sure until after he won the 2012 Election. He said he had changed his mind, he has also said he's not a muslin and that he's a Christian. I don't know any Christians personally that believe in gay marriage however I do know some that agree that gays shouldn't be discriminated against and should have access to a "Civil Union" which would be equivalent to what a marriage benefits a man and a woman.

You have described yourself as a Centrist, Progressive, Independent. I get very curious when a person describes themselves as a "Progressive"

What say U?

Twice now I have responded to this and it says it posted and now twice it has disappeared shortly after I posted it.

Last one I wrote was last evening and it was more lengthy than this response now.

Guess the system has gremlins or someone who has access and ability to hit the delete the button is doing so.
