Bob Livingston Is A ‘Liberal Jackhole’
August 25, 2014 by Bob Livingston
Liberal jackhole and many other more colorful pejoratives greeted me last week as I browsed comments both here on the Personal Liberty Digest™ page and on our Personal Liberty Facebook page. In fact, no single subject has led to more insults and more dropped subscribers and lost Facebook followers than our coverage of the Ferguson, Missouri, “crisis,” even though I believe our coverage has been quite fair.
However, the numerous charges that Bob Livingston is or has become a liberal (and they don’t mean liberal in the classical sense, which would be closer to the truth) indicate it’s time once again to explain my philosophy to the new readers and also answer some of the most common questions we get. I hope longtime readers aren’t put off by this, which they will likely find is a repeat of things I’ve written before. I ask that you view it as a “refresher” that helps you to remember all you’ve read here to date.
I also hope new readers will appreciate that the philosophy and questions are condensed so that they can receive it on one dose rather than either having to wade through previous articles posted here since the inception of Personal Liberty Digest™ in mid-2008.
Since we have a great many readers who come for a time and then disappear, writing this column from time to time is necessary. As we are one of the top libertarian sites on the Web, many libertarians join us but then become critical because we are not all libertarians (or all libertarian).
Since we are linked to many conservative sites, many conservatives and Republicans join us and then become angry when we don’t toe the party line, when we are critical Republican politicians or when we advocate for a noninterventionist foreign policy.
And since we write articles on natural health and nutrition and the dangers of genetically modified foods, we get many people here interested in those topics — many of them political leftists — who like our articles on those subjects, but vehemently oppose our other political views.
So who is Bob Livingston? Firstly, I am not the adulterous former congressman from Louisiana. I am an octogenarian Christian American patriot. In the 1960s, I became alarmed at the direction our nation was headed. I became frustrated with the lies, deceit, misinformation and deliberate disinformation being spread as “truth” by the government, the manipulated media and the controlling elite. I believed the lies needed be exposed, so I began to seek an outlet to do that.
In 1969, I began publishing my subscription newsletter, The Bob Livingston Letter™ (subscription required). My goal is to find the truth and spread it far and wide. My favorite subjects are alternative health issues, privacy, wealth protection, the preservation of freedom and the history of man.
Do you consider yourself a Republican, Democrat or Libertarian?
I belong to no political party. I am beholden to none. I consider myself an ultra-conservative and a Constitutionalist.
Some read what I write and call me a conservative, some a liberal, some a libertarian. Those labels are meaningless in their current sense, as their meanings have been corrupted by the mainstream media and the political parties.
I cannot be placed within any preconceived ideological box.
But what about party politics?
There is no discernible difference between the two major parties.
Both promote big government over the individual. We can use history as our guide. Candidates from both parties constantly run on promises of “change.”
But the only change we see is a rearranging of which special interest gets the best seat at the table.
Regardless of the party in charge, government grows and liberty is lost. The two major parties control the process and will never allow another party to invade their turf, hence the mistreatment of Ron Paul and his supporters and Tea Party Republicans during the 2012 election cycle, and since.
What do you mean when you say American government is not a democracy?
The American government was founded as a republic, but years of deceit and the public (non)education system have served to dumb down the populace and make them believe the U.S. is a democracy.
But it is not even a democracy as most believe.
We have a representative democracy in name only. What we have are manipulated Representatives and Senators.
They are owned by big business and socialist government bureaucrats.
In truth, we have fascism, i.e., the alliance of big government and big business.
The two-party system is, in truth, one party that represents only government.
It is a benevolent totalitarianism that is growing less benevolent and more totalitarian.
Why are you always encouraging people to buy gold and silver?
The policies of the Federal Reserve and criminal Congress and the perpetual wars are leading us pell-mell toward economic collapse.
We are on the same path as Weimar Germany in the 1920s. During that period, currency was worthless. People were papering their walls with 1 million mark notes. A loaf of bread cost 100,000 million marks. Mothers had to prostitute themselves to feed their children. But those who had gold and silver in their possession were still able to purchase bread and meat.
The Fed is now buying debt with debt.
The “official” inflation numbers are a scam, as anyone who is buying food knows.
When our currency collapses, banks will close and our dollars will be worthless.
But some will be buying bread for a dime — a silver, pre-1965 dime. Those who hold gold and silver will retain their wealth. Gold and silver are permanent money. Those who hold fiat dollars will be destitute.
Are you paid by the gold sellers to push gold?
Why are you so critical of American foreign policy?
Because I understand the true nature and goals of the elites. They create pretense for wars for their benefit. The people who caused the great World War I, World War II and all wars — and thus caused the deaths and suffering of millions of people — were none other than central bankers in other countries and the U.S. Federal Reserve.
Central banks create paper money and credit for government and politicians to spend for war and a broad socialist agenda. All the money and credit that was/is the source of crushing debt on the American people was created by the U.S. central bank.
Banker-created money is the blood of war, as well as the impoverishment of the people. The discipline of the gold standard would have prevented all the wars of the past 100 years. Millions of dead soldiers died for nothing, along with millions of civilians. History books do not record this.
Why are you so critical of the police?
Local police should be peace officers, not militarized law enforcers. Police have become violent and abusive to the public they are supposed to protect, and we regularly document cases of abuse.
This is the natural result of the War on Drugs and of the influence the federal government has — through grants, training and the divvying out of military equipment — to local police.
When a “war on (whatever)” mentality is prevalent, everyone not a member of the force is viewed as an enemy combatant.
This has created an atmosphere of fear of the populace among the police and a fear of the police among the populace, putting them at odds.
The Founders recognized that a standing army is the bane of liberty. Local police officers and the federal law enforcement agencies are becoming that standing army by proxy.
Who are these “elites” you write about?
The ruling elite is a small number of families who have ruled the world for 1,000 years. They are neither Christians nor benevolent rulers.
They are merciless and Malthusian despots who demand blood sacrifice from the deceived humanity. They use psychopathic bureaucrats and politicians to carry out their deception and systematic oppression.
They are godless and the only loyalty they have is to the secret orders (Skull and Bones) of ancient handshakes and symbols of the all-seeing eye of “providence” and “The New Order of the Ages.”
Why are you against vaccines and write so much about alternative medicine?
They slay us with semantics. It’s not by any definition “healthcare” in the United States. It’s sickness care. If you are not sick when you go to the medical system, you certainly will be soon. The U.S. medical system is a killing machine, and not too disguised. More and more people are waking up to this fact. You know, we could bypass a lot of misinformation in the mystery of health if we could go back to the fork in the road that split off between Antoine Bechamp (1816-1908) and Louis Pasteur (1822-1895).
Pasteur created fertile ground for the hoax of modern medicine that we have today. Charlatans and sociopaths saw the vast empire of wealth that could be created on the theories of Pasteur.
Hence, we have the multitrillion-dollar synthetic chemical pharmaceutical colossus that has medically imprisoned the whole planet.
We are sicker than ever and everybody knows this, but ignorance keeps us sick and keeps making trillions of dollars for the pharmaceutical conspiracy.
Another thing, the government and the political order are in bed with the pharmaceutical companies. You don’t hear politicians exposing this madness that is crushing the American people economically and killing millions of people yearly. Talk about murder incorporated and population control all in the same bucket! And guess who pays the bill?
Obamacare says it all.
How could you allow (that writer) to say that? Our contributors are given free rein to write whatever is on their conscience. While we all agree in a broad sense, we are not an echo chamber and do not agree on all points. You may one day read one perspective on an issue and see a different perspective from a different contributor the next.
