As the Ferguson fiasco continues most of the claims have been that the white community is guilty of race based violence and purported inequities.

The link below denotes more race based hate crimes primarily against whites. My question is; should the "white" community in DC be rioting and demanding change?

Why is this not a national headline with a dose of Big Al and Johnny on the spot Jackson denouncing the behavior and violence?

Is ethnicity based crimes different if it is not the black community affected?

The other link speaks to some of the Ferguson community stating that "We Deserve this" in regards to looting. Now with this said, it is denoted that some of the protesters are tourists looking to get in on the action. However this does not mean that the bulk of the protesters are not local.

To take this a little further; what is the desired outcome for the protestors? If the officer is indicted what other concessions are desired? The constant generic comment of we just want equal opportunities and to be treated as a person not a demographic are valid Expectations.

What is not a valid request is to expect officers of the law to treat any situation differently because someone is black...

At the end of the day I would like to see the same attention if the black community commits race based violence period. Until the double standard is removed it will alwys be a circus with a bad ending.

No do not riot. We cannot choose many of our external circumstances, but we can always choose how we respond to them.

The sad reality though is peaceful protests don't make the news. It seems that we still crave sensational drama and violence which ironically still solves nothing. I do not condone rioting either but wanted to present contrast to a one sided point of view

The 2005 report “The Color of Crime” by the New Century Foundation lays it out: “Blacks are seven times more likely than people of other races to commit murder, and eight times more likely to commit robbery. . . . Blacks are an estimated 39 times more likely to commit a violent crime against a white than vice versa, and 136 times more likely to commit robbery.” so basically if they were to give the same attention to black on white crime, there wouldn't be enough time on the news for it all.

My question is who is to blame for these statistics?... Granted these are troubling stats but who gets the blame? As long as society continues to perpetrate the "Great Copout"; it's societies fault; there will never be change.

It is important to remember that change ultimately comes from with-in. Until we collectively start becoming pat of the solution; we are by proxy part of the problem.

The bottom line is blaming all of your woes on your ethnicity is a copout. We have choices we make of our own free will in life; until we own the consequences of our decisions and actions there will be no true accountability.

GOP Has to make opportunity count
November 17, 2014
The GOP is at a crucial crossroads right now. America has made it pretty clear how much faith it had in the current status quo. Even though I have always leaned towards the GOP side of the house this does negate the expectations I personally have for them. The GOP ...

ISIL, The Next 10 Year War
November 04, 2014
As election day comes and goes our Commander and Chump is quietly drawing us deeper and deeper into the ISIL debacle. I had blogged previously about the ineffectiveness of the current effort. Utilizing air strikes has been completely ineffective to date. The reason this is a flawed response is the ...

"Greater Good"

“Greater Good”, a point or ideology that has been defined, perceived, twisted, etc. So what does this mean? Is it fair to even apply this concept as at the end of the day whatever the definition is construed; Man is still making that determination. So now here we are with ...

Crossroads
October 15, 2014
After pursing the “headlines” for the last couple of days it seems painfully apparent to me that our nation is at a perilous crossroad. We are mired in such discord that your average Dooms Day Prepper is doing jumping jacks saying “I told You So….” I try to do my ...

ISIS Endstate

Am I the only one that is concerned with the ineffective air campaign against ISIS? We seem to be going down the same road we did with Libya in regard to airstrikes that destabilize the region and disrupt the “enemy” but bring no semblance of peace and stability. Libya is ...
