No do not riot. We cannot choose many of our external circumstances, but we can always choose how we respond to them.
The sad reality though is peaceful protests don't make the news. It seems that we still crave sensational drama and violence which ironically still solves nothing. I do not condone rioting either but wanted to present contrast to a one sided point of view
The 2005 report “The Color of Crime” by the New Century Foundation lays it out: “Blacks are seven times more likely than people of other races to commit murder, and eight times more likely to commit robbery. . . . Blacks are an estimated 39 times more likely to commit a violent crime against a white than vice versa, and 136 times more likely to commit robbery.” so basically if they were to give the same attention to black on white crime, there wouldn't be enough time on the news for it all.

My question is who is to blame for these statistics?... Granted these are troubling stats but who gets the blame? As long as society continues to perpetrate the "Great Copout"; it's societies fault; there will never be change.
It is important to remember that change ultimately comes from with-in. Until we collectively start becoming pat of the solution; we are by proxy part of the problem.
The bottom line is blaming all of your woes on your ethnicity is a copout. We have choices we make of our own free will in life; until we own the consequences of our decisions and actions there will be no true accountability.
