Five Reasons for Warren to Run

Though it is too early to rule out Hillary in making a run for President. She is indeed formidable and battle tested. She presently trumps ANY Republican, Establisment, Tea Party or otherwise. The one Republican even within striking distance of her is Tea Party Rand Paul. The one with the pubic hair on his head that is without a part in it. You can't miss him.

Anyway, we Democrats have a formidable backup in case Hillary chooses not to run. Come to think about it a Clinton-Warren ticket or vice versa would steamroll a fragmented Republican misogynist ticket for President.

Here are Five Reasons Elizabeth could run:

1. She's not Hillary. Hillary has walked thru the fires of politics but unfortunately has some scars and burns that have Karl Rove rabidly frothing at the mouth to exploit.

2. The grass roots LOVE Elizabeth. She taps the anxiety about Wall Street and middle class issues.

3. She is authentic. She is unpretentious. She even drives her own car to political events. No limo for her.

4. Primaries for her are a GOOD thing. They will reveal a down to earth, practical and smart human who possesses immense knowledge of the world.

5. Though saying she is not running, she HAS NOT ruled it out and that is a very good thing.

No doubt, she is going to be attacked from the Right. But this is one strong woman who can take it, and only become stronger from having endured it.

Why are we bound and determined to conduct another social experiment? As previously stated we should not be basing our vote on: Gender, Ethnicity, Religion or the Flavor of The week.

We need experience, proven track record, some sort of military background, and proof of actual leadership in tough situations.

We do not need another "novelty". We need a leader that can command respect on the world stage.

With that said; that does not preclude any of the aforementioned but that should not be the base of their campaign. Please also note that I did not allude to voting GOP, DEM, Tea Party, Liberal, etc. I will do my best to do my research and vote for whats best for ALL Americans. One thing is for sure; what we have right now is not working. Replacing him with someone with the same ideals and focus is treading water at best.

I challenge all of us in the coming months to do our homework and try to get the "right" people in office. Our country is at the lowest point it has been in decades. We really do need Change you can count on...

I am merely saying that Women have come of age so to speak. I am not ruling out men. If a strong male Democratic candidate comes forth then he will get equal consideration for my vote. This is not a 'novelty' test.

HMJC: What MAY be a novelty is that I am a deep South Liberal Democratic Male.

JM,

I concur that you are the exception which is not a bad thing at all. I would just like for all voters to do a little homework this time prior to casting their vote.

JimmyMack commented on Tuesday, Jul 22, 2014 at 10:45 AM

@HMJC: I ain't got no problem with that.

I would be delighted if Warren is the Dem candidate. I see her as weaker than Hillary and much less "qualified." (And I'm on record on this here web site as saying Hillary's "qualifications" are dubious at best.)

Record or not...I am happy for your 'delightful' state. Words to wise: NEVER EVER UNDERESTIMATE A WOMAN!

Bring on Paul, Jindal, Rubio or any of the other right wing nut jobs. We B ready for the fight!

The ULTIMATE Republican nightmare: a Clinton-Warren Ticket.

Funkentelecky commented on Thursday, Jul 24, 2014 at 17:23 PM

So Jimmy what you saying your two left wing nut jobs are better than any right wing nut jobs?

JimmyMack commented on Thursday, Jul 24, 2014 at 18:43 PM

Of course! A sensible approach from either the Party's seems sadly beyond reach.

A JFK, A Reagan, A Bill don't come around that often. We gotta take what we can get. Both sides. I just believe that MY idiots are Better than YOUR idiots. Neither Party has a lock on lunacy. There's enough crazy to go around.
