Take Me To Post Comment Form

Welcome to World War III day around here.

First the Russians are thought to have shot down a Malaysian passenger jet over Ukraine.

Now Israel is on the march into Gaza.

Good thing Obama assures us the world is tranquil. That makes me feel better.

The Jerusalem Post reports:

The purpose of the operation was to destroy the Gazan terror tunnels leading to Israel, according to a statement released by the prime minister's office.

"Israel is committed to act to protect its citizens.

The operation will continue until its goals are reached:

To bring quiet to the citizens of Israel for a long period of time, and to seriously harm Hamas and other terrorist organizations' infrastructure in the Gaza Strip," the statement read.

Prior to the commencement of the ground invasion, the IDF launched a massive wave of combined air and artillery strikes on Thursday night.

The IDF said that the operation will involve infantry, engineering corps, and tank units combined with air force and naval support and intelligence.

Palestinian sources said strikes occurred up and down the Strip, adding that one strike targeted a motorcycle apparently carrying members of a rocket launching cell on their way to an attack on Israel.

At around 10:00 p.m. rocket sirens sounded in the Tel Aviv area, and in the Shfela.

Iron Dome made a number of interceptions in the Tel Aviv area.

Hamas bombarded Israel on Thursday with rockets after the end of the humanitarian truce, firing over 100 projectiles after 3 p.m. Eighty one rockets landed in open areas, two fell inside villages, damaging two homes,

and 20 were intercepted by the Iron Dome air defense system.

I'll agree with a comment Rob made to me a few minutes ago.

If I were Netanyahu, I'd take the same approach as Putin.

Obama obviously doesn't have the will to do anything, so gloves off.

Hamas can launch attacks but there's no way they can win a real military engagement with the IDF.

Hamas counts on pressure from the more skittish elements in the West to keep urging "restraint" on Israel every time Hamas blows up thing and people.

But following the lead of the West in exercising that "restraint" only makes sense if you're going to get something you need as a result.

What do you get from deferring to Obama?

Not much.

John Kerry shows up and makes declaration.

That's worse than nothing.

I suspect there won't be much left of the infrastructure Hamas depends on after this operation is over.

Meanwhile, Obama's stop at the burger joint went great.

Yep. The ravages of the World all come home to roost on Obama's lap. While in Mickey D's Fox News found evidence that Obama was responsible for the Western Wild fires and the Polar Vortex now being experienced in some of the Northern States. The CDC in Atlanta has now verified that Obama left open those samples of Small Pox and other unsealed vials of deadly virus' capable of eliminating mankind, thus bring about the end of the World. Religious Evangelical Bible De-Coders have found that a predecessor of Obama's contained the same DNA as the Snake in the Garden that offered the apple to Eve. Thus bringing sin and shame into the world.

More updates later.

@Tot. You seem to be on the right track, for once. Sic 'em.

HMJC commented on Friday, Jul 18, 2014 at 08:12 AM

The "funny" thing is that there is an enormous amount of blunders and consistent displays of ineptness by his administration.

Joking about it does not make the FACTS go away.

JimmyMack commented on Friday, Jul 18, 2014 at 08:38 AM

Ok HMJC: But at some point it becomes to take on the appearance of piling on.
Besides, what do the Obama haters HOPE to accomplish with their every other minute criticisms? The man ain't going to abandon the Oval office. He ain't gonna resign. And most importantly, He is not going to be impeached. All that is going on now is a negative feeding frenzy of animosity and disrespect to the President. What do yall hope to gain from it all?

I will tell you this tho: This activity of BHO detractors only serves to motivate some of those on the left, including me, for formulating a massive and venomous payback towards the right when presented the opportunity to do so.

HMJC commented on Friday, Jul 18, 2014 at 15:02 PM

Ironically that is the least favorable scenario. The Tit for Tat and Quid Pro Quo will only exacerbate this issue. Believe it or not, my intent is not to "pile it on". I just would like for all sides to assess the situation objectively.

JimmyMack commented on Friday, Jul 18, 2014 at 16:18 PM

@HMJC: Well my friend, your latest Blog: Nobama condemns Russia, is anything but an example of the objectivity you claim to seek. Just more Obama bashing.

Coastal Courier give TOT Gold Star for his cut and paste. See Tot's star for excellence in plagiarism in todays Courier.

"Joking about it does not make the FACTS go away."

Amen.

"Just more Obama bashing."

Obama is only getting the bashing he richly deserves. NOBODY in this decade has earned it more than him.

It's more like a nightmare.

JimmyMack commented on Monday, Jul 21, 2014 at 12:26 PM

@Tor: This is off the present subject, but I am curious. Have you ever been to or sought out professional counseling such as that offered up by KLS?

Just wonderin' and not trying to bait you into some sort of trick question or ridicule. Even will state to you that I have sought counseling in my life. So there. I have allowed myself to expose to you a personal 'vulnerability' if you choose to take advantage of this admission.

timeontarget commented on Tuesday, Jul 22, 2014 at 06:44 AM

JM your past insults directed at tot warrant no response, I'm sorry but I just don't care to correspond with you.

JimmyMack commented on Wednesday, Jul 23, 2014 at 07:05 AM
