I'm sure most of us had parents that told us to be respectful of your elders tell the truth and obey the law right. We'll as adults it seems that some us on this site don't believe in these values and put politics ahead of them and use it as an excuse for being bad and not following upholding or even respecting the law. We'll of course I'm not one of them and how many of you out there that support Obama would accept this type of behavior from your spouse, relative or close friends?
Obama has a pen and a phone; however does these statements even matter to progressive liberals?
Yes, Funky - recent polls certainly point out that Obama's "lame duck" status has arrived. I posted the results of the recent "Worst President Since WWII" poll in my latest blog, but here are a few others:
"Americans Losing Confidence in All Branches of U.S. Gov't"
"Confidence in the presidency is now the lowest it has been under President Barack Obama, as is confidence in Congress and the Supreme Court, given their historical lows. When Obama first took office in 2009, each of the three branches saw a jump in confidence from their dismally low ratings in George W. Bush's final two years in the White House."
*The latest Zogby Analytics Poll says:
"President's Approval Plunges; Is It All Over for Him?"
"A new Zogby Analytics poll shows President Barack Obama’s approval dropping 3 points to 44%, while disapproval is up 4 points from just last month to 54%. The new nationwide poll of 1,110 likely voters was conducted online from June 27-29 and has a margin of sampling error or +/- 3 percentage points.
The President’s support has dropped 2 points among men (44% to 42%); women 4 points (49% to 45%); 30-49 year olds (5 points, 51%-46%); Democrats (81% to 77%); independents 7 points (39% to 32%); liberals 7 points (83% to 76%); Hispanics 6 points (73% to 67%); African Americans 10 points (86% to 76%); and voters in union households 5 points (65% to 60%)."
Of particular note is the drop in support among INDEPENDENTS - now down to 32%. This means that two out of three independent voters DISAPPROVE of the job Obama is doing - and by extension - his political party. This bodes particularly well for the GOP at the ballot box this November.
*And Real Clear Politics points out regarding the Gallup Poll that:
"Confidence in Obama Trails Rating for Bush in '06"
"Americans have less confidence in the Obama administration than they did for George W. Bush’s at the same point in his presidency, according to a new Gallup survey.
In Bush’s sixth year in office, just 33 percent of Americans had a “great deal” or “quite a lot” of confidence in the executive branch of government. In the same year of Obama’s presidency, the same branch earned 29 percent.
In fact, Obama has so far consistently tracked behind Bush every year of his presidency, save for the first year."
