I can hear my grandmother loud and clear " Look at the pot calling the kettle black". There is no scandal at the IRS, but Republicans have to have something since they were wrong about Benghazi. I'm not SUGGESTING that because Bush did it that its alright if Obama did it. Just pointing out the obvious; when Bush did it there was no OUTRAGE from the GOP. No investigation.

Remember this one from 2007?

Millions of White House e-mails may be missing, White House spokeswoman Dana Perino acknowledged Friday.
“I wouldn’t rule out that there were a potential 5 million e-mails lost,” Perino told reporters.

The administration was already facing sharp questions about whether top presidential advisers including Karl Rove improperly used Republican National Committee e-mail that the White House said later disappeared.

The actual number of missing emails, we later learned, turned out to be 22 million.

At issue were a variety of Bush/Cheney scandals, including the firing of U.S. Attorneys who refused to politicize federal prosecutions before elections. To that end, the Republican White House failed to comply with subpoenas, claiming the emails had vanished because the administration failed to comply with the Presidential Records Act.

The Bush/Cheney spokesperson at the time, Dana Perino, told reporters at the time, “We screwed up.”

And what, pray tell, did Republicans say back then? Well, it’s a funny story.

A Democratic source passed along some quotes from Rep. Darrell Issa (R-Calif.) from a February 2008 hearing into the missing White House documents. “I think it’s fair that we recognize that software moves on and that archiving in a digital age is not as easy as it might seem to the public,” he said at the time. Issa added that Democratic complaints about the missing emails were “shameful.”

Again, this is not to say that the two administrations are equivalent, and that’s OK for one to lose emails and not the other. The difference is, there was credible evidence that the Bush White House had engaged in actual wrongdoing, raising the possibility that the missing emails included potentially incriminating evidence, all of which went missing under suspicious circumstances.

In contrast, no one has yet produced any evidence that the IRS “controversy” is real.

From the Associated Press: "the White House said Monday that the Internal Revenue Service engaged in a good faith effort to find lost emails from an IRS official"

This was in response to the announcement Friday from the IRS that Lois Lerners emails between 2009 and 2012 have been lost. Particularly were the emails between Lois Lerner and the White House during this period.

This is a lie. There is no doubt this is a lie being told by the White House and the IRS

HERE IS WHY THIS IS A LIE

The US Government is required by law to keep all emails in a minimum of five backups.

1. The emails should be on the computer of the employee
2. They should be kept on the Email server for that employee group.
3. There is a backup daily on disk of the email server
4. There is a backup monthly on disk of the email server
5. Each daily and monthly backup are copied to tape weekly

In addition, when two government employees email each other, that email should be in 10 places, the sender and their backups and the receiver and their backups. If an email is Bcc'd or CC'd then this number applies to each recipient. Most emails issued by the US Government use a cc.

Our president says there was not a smidgen of corruption in the IRS. He lied. If you want to win an election, dry up the money and resources of your opponent. This is what the IRS did for the democrats in 2012

and now we hear the hard drives were destroyed

and while what happened with bush was underhanded. it danced on the legal line seen he did not use government computers or government emails. the IRS erased official government emails and hard drives to cover up their illegal activities.

PN, since this is a phony scandal why did Lois Lerner plead the 5th two times and all her email from January 2009 through April 2011 is missing along with 6 other key IRS officials? Richard Nixon was impeached by 18 minutes of missing video that incriminated him in the Watergate scandal.

The Obama administration is the most transparent administration in history so I know you are for retrieving this data and setting the record straight, right.

This example of yours which present a legitimate wrong doing of the Bush administration is actually smoke n mirrors now, because the Democrats were in charge of congress in 2007-2008 during GWB's last two years did they say or do anything back then?

The Obama Scandals are alive and well. The more the Republicans dig, the more shenanigans are revealed.

MSNBC - as usual -is spinning like a whirling dervish trying to convince people that facts lie. They have two things going against them:

*Facts do not lie.

*Nobody watches MSNBC. They probably get more exposure on this site with PN's posts than they do actual viewership in this area. I'll repeat an interesting anecdote about when I used to be a Comcast Cable subscriber and an MSNBC viewer:

--One day about 10 years ago, the MSNBC channel on my television started displaying snow and static. It did this for about 30 days. I finally called Comcast Cable and reported the issue. They initially claimed that the problem must be at my cable box, since NOBODY ELSE HAD REPORTED THE PROBLEM. As it turned out, the problem WAS NOT at my local cable box - it was at a main junction which resulted in MSNBC being basically "blacked out" in this area.

The Bottom Line: After 30 days, I was the only one who cared enough about receiving MSNBC to report the problem. Nobody else gave a shot. MSNBC's ratings were higher then than they are now.

I think it's also important to note that the only people watching Fox-older white males.

Who cares about Fox News? You consistently quote MSNBC - which as a "news" entity has ratings which are the lowest of the low.

http://www.politicususa.com/2014/04/3...

http://www.politico.com/blogs/media/2...

Based upon the total national ratings for MSNBC, you - PN - are probably one of a handful who watch the channel in this geographic area. According to the numbers here:

https://insidecablenews.wordpress.com...

--When less than 500,000 people NATIONALLY watch a television channel - and when shows on that channel average less than 150,000 viewers per show - in this nation of more than 300 million people, NOBODY REALLY CARES WHAT IS BEING SAID ON THAT CHANNEL.

Why? Because people know that it is all PROPAGANDA for the Obama administration. Worse still, it is served up by offensive dunderheads who are less intelligent than the viewers they are trying to attract. That's why nobody watches MSNBC any more.

I don't care about Fox News, PN. I repeat again that I occasionally watch the Bret Baier show from 6-7 p.m. weekdays, but I'm not buying all their selling and I don't quote FNC in any arguments I engage in. YOU - on the other hand - use MSNBC extensively as a source for your points and arguments.

Weak.....very weak....
