Getting the word out about the Fifth District Representative on the BOE and shining a light on him was a group effort sparked by gacpl and you, Sheran. Those of us who are deeply concerned about the welfare of our children have an inherent shared responsibility to them. This effort was not mine alone and it is not over. We must see it thru regardless of the detractive and apologist efforts of those uninformed and those who blindly and zealously support this man, Mr. Scott.
Mr. Scott has placed himself in this position. He must come to terms with the attention that comes with the territory he seeks to claim.
Thank you Sheran. Thank you gacpl.
It ain't over til the fat lady sings and we have done all we can do and our efforts are spent.
Additionally, I expect a 'pushback' from Mr. Scott's camp. They more than likely will target me but it will not be the first time I have had to weather criticism. Some of it rather virulent at times.
This, however, presents those of us who support our children with an opportunity to counter that push back. I know many do not wish to write letters to the Editor and take the flak that comes with making a public statement. That is o.k. However, Sound-Offs are an avenue to voice your opinions and I encourage you to utilize that opportunity. I am sure Mr. Scott's camp will so do.
Thanks Sebe. Of course, I think I could have done better with the flow of it all. Anyway, I think Ms. Barnidge did a good job of editing to make it more 'fit' for public consumption. Unlike the ramblings some of us, including myself, engage in on these pages, some of my hyperbolic like words were edited. That is fair and reasonable to me. We get a little more latitude here on these pages and I kinda like that.
However, now that the info on Mr. Scott is out there we will see where the dust settles and what may or may not have to be done. The fat lady hasn't sung yet on this one.
