Hi HMJC> I have never been in Combat but I can sympathize with your concerns regarding Bergdahl. I think more and more will come out and maybe we should hold our fire until the final story. I offer up this piece for consideration.
On a lighter side; the most I can tell from the films of the Bergdahl family is that the mom, Jani, is a HOTTIE!!!
HMJC, your military not me so how do you read into this:
Although I do not agree with most viewpoints that disparage America, in this case there are some mitigating circumstances.
I would like to think that This is a Father trying to do whatever he can to secure the release of his Son. However; there seems to be some gray areas in his posts that allude that his Son may have come by his disillusionment "honestly"...
At the risk of contradicting my original post; I do get being willing to do whatever it would take to get my Son home. With this said, I still do not concur with blaming the "system" for his Son's demise.
My point with my original post was pointed more at the administration whitewash trying to portray the circumstances surrounding his "capture" and labeling Bergdaghl as a hero needing rescued.
The reality is that his Family is not going to care less as long as he is home and I get that. I do still feel that a legitimate inquiry needs to be conducted and if misconduct is discovered; he still needs to be held accountable for his actions. Anything less than that dishonors those that stand and fight alongside each other.
HMJC, guess all hell is fixing to meet a deserter!
This administration is completely "tone deaf" to all things military. They use the military as props when it serves their political ends. Veterans and the military know what the deal is.
The said thing about all of these recent scandals is that they didn't happen during Obama's FIRST term. If the American people would have seen what a bunch of bungling boobs this administration really is, I have no doubt that the adults would be running our foreign policy right now.
I never thought I'd agree with Bill Clinton on anything, but he was right:
2016 can't come fast enough.
