Republicans surrendering on Obamacare

Take Me To Post Comment Form

Finally our fellow hard working tax paying American citizens are getting to see a doctor and begin living a healthier and better life. We spend trillions on wars and we give so many other countries money and aid. Time for us for a change. Keep the emergency rooms available for emergencies and everyone get healthy. Obama said he was going to pass a sensible healthcare law and he did. I think he and all the people in the administration deserve a big thank you. God Bless.

As #Benghazi fever rises among Republicans, the Hill reports this morning that the House GOP has “gone quiet” on Obamacare. There are no scheduled votes or hearings on the Affordable Care Act. Contacted by the Hill, most GOP campaign committees won’t say whether they will be launching any new attacks on the law.

As the Hill puts it: “The lack of action highlights the GOP’s struggle to adjust its message now that enrollment in the exchanges beat projections and the uninsured rate is going down.”

At the same time, the Hill notes that GOP operatives overseeing Senate races remain “conscious of the need to keep a drumbeat going against the law.” The question now: If Republican officials really are backing off on Obamacare, will the base go along?

A new CNN poll illustrates the situation nicely: It finds that far more Americans want to keep Obamacare than repeal it. At the same time, only majorities of Republicans want repeal and only majorities of Republicans think the law is already a failure.

The CNN poll finds that 49 percent of Americans want to keep the law with some changes, while another 12 percent want to keep it as is — a total of 61 percent. Meanwhile, only 18 percent want to repeal and replace the law, and another 20 percent want to repeal it, full stop — a total of 38 percent. That’s 61-38 for keeping rather than repealing the law. Among independents, that’s 55-44.

I hope no one turns him in for fraud. If the GOP finds out he's receiving benefits and having a good time-he could end up losing his benefits. Everyone deserves a good laugh. https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?v=694682243919159&set=vb.547156485338403&type=2&theater Ice Bucket Challenge gone wrong. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lUp1NDysG0M#t=11

We live in world where Right wing nuts think an unarmed black teen in Ferguson is a “thug” but armed anti-goverment white extremists in Nevada are heroes. The School-to-Prison Pipeline
August 10, 2014
What happens to education when students, from preschool to high school, are subjected to disciplinary policies that more closely resemble policing than teaching? Around the country, advocates are collecting data illustrating the devastating effects of what they call the "school-to-prison pipeline," where student behavior is criminalized, children are treated like ...
