I have visited these pages before on several occasions in an effort to help support an organization known for character development and a builder of future leaders: The Boy Scouts Of America.

Unfortunately it ain't time to eat yet as the Scouts are known for cooking the very best Boston Butts and Smoke Turkeys in the Coastal Region. Hands down. They are coming though, so you have time to salivate just thinking about them.

I want to restate in this blog the partnership that the National Kroger Chain has developed with the Boy Scouts. The process is a very techno friendly method. I did it and as most here know, my mental elevator doesn't make it all the way to the top. So, there you go. If you have a computer and can type you can do this. Very simple and you are helping the Boy Scouts just by having your Kroger card swiped when you make a purchase and KROGER AUTOMATICALLY makes a donation to the Scouts.

This is HOW IT WORKS: Go to www.krogercommunityrewards.com on your PC. Look on the back of your Kroger Card and you will see a series of numbers. Enter all the numbers BUT THE LAST ONE. There is a space between all the numbers and the last number. LEAVE THAT LAST NUMBER OFF. Then once you have done so, ENTER the number: 80712 to locate the Coastal Empire Council, BSA...then CLICK Submit and you are done!

And since we all have to eat, you cannot go wrong. Get your groceries and KROGER MAKES A DONATION to the Boy Scouts of America. Easy as eating pie.

IF you need ANY assistance call 368-2290 or stop by Dr. Carter's office at 109 West Oglethorpe Hwy. Gift Cards are still available for many restaurants and retail outlets, like Outback, Bass Pro Shop, Olive Garden and many others in 20-50 and 100 dollar denominations.

It is a good thing to do. You will be helping an organization known for its track record of positively affecting the lives of young men.

Good info, Jimmy, and a most worthy cause. The Boy Scouts of America continue to build character and provide outstanding service and support to society. They deserve all the support we can give them.

The present Superintendent of Schools, has just thrown down the gauntlet at the feet of the Courier. Using the Progress Through People platform to discredit the Courier's reportage regarding her eliminating the STAR Program. Well I think the Courier needs to dig deeper into Dr. Lee e.g. Her not being ...

Zig keeps Zagging

Zig Zag Zell is staying true to form. Yes, this is the man who gave the keynote speech for the Democratic Party Convention that nominated Bill Clinton, and also gave the keynote speech for George W. Bush at the Republican convention. However, on Sebe's behalf, I gratefully accept Zell's endorsement ...

America on Upswing

For so long now Conservatives have sought to not only disrespect this President they have sought to destroy him even before he assumed office. He was pounded for bowing to a Saudi King, his wife bared her arms un-seemingly, he could not fix the financial hole George W. Bush dug ...

My God, what a loss. It speaks to the profound depths that clinical depression can sink. How could one man that could make the world happy be incapable of making himself happy? My first reaction was disbelief then I got angry. Why did he leave us? Why did he leave ...

The Intellectual Paucity of Polls

Once again, Lies, Damn Lies, Statistics, then Polls. http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/the-fix/wp/2014/07/28/romney-leads-obama-and-other-dumb-polls-that-are-still-interesting/ Pollsters have tried for years to measure Obama's popularity in various ways, from rating how likable he is to how strong of a leader he is considered to whether people think he understands their problems. They even ask if people want ...
