The latest Obamacare numbers are in, and they may disappoint the doomsayers. This is exactly what the GOP didn't want to happen People are wising up and ignoring the doomsayers.

The numbers are also up in Georgia according to the Savannah Morning News. The best news of all is that 25% of the newly enrolled are young people.

These numbers don't lie!!

sebekm commented on Thursday, Feb 13, 2014 at 19:41 PM

Actually they do lie:

and

http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2014/...

Beware of any numbers the administration puts out. Also beware when those numbers are cited by MSNBC. The left has TREMENDOUS INCENTIVE to inflate the numbers (translated: LIE) to make themselves look good in the face of the 2014 mid-term projections.

Nobody ever said there wouldn't be enrollments. The question is how they're counting them. People who haven't paid and huge increases in Medicaid don't really do anything to "shame" anybody or remove "doubt." They also aren't real "enrollments."

It's still the same old program with the same old flaws with the President kicking the most egregious elements down the road past the mid-term election with executive orders. WE THE PEOPLE won't be fooled by the spin.

PoliticsNation commented on Thursday, Feb 13, 2014 at 19:50 PM

Seb-the numbers are accurate. NO matter how you spin it-the Obama Administration can celebrate and Michelle Nunn.

Beware the articles you posted are from FOX I can lie about anything to I'm blowing hot air..

Forget the MSNBC article-let's go with Forbes...

PN: Your links remind everybody that they are still at least ONE MILLION enrollments behind where they expected to be. My point is that I don't trust what they are counting as enrollments. Fox News is citing the INSURANCE COMPANIES. I have read the same comments elsewhere.

It's not an enrollment if it can't be VERIFIED. It's not enrollment if the people haven't PAID. It's not an enrollment until the insurance companies SAY it's an enrollment - not when the Obama Administration says people have "signed up."

The Democrats and the Obama Administration have more incentive to lie than anybody else. Their program came out of the gate like a huge stink bomb and their Senate seats are on the line.

I don't trust their numbers. I'll wait until the insurance companies say what the enrollments are.

See also this link - from CNN, "The Most Trusted Name In News." It further explains why "the truth" is not necessarily what the Obama Administration says it is as far as the numbers go:

http://money.cnn.com/2014/01/13/news/...

This article also points out that:

"HHS also highlighted the fact that the percentage of young people 18-34 enrolling was 27 percent in January compared to just 24 percent in October through December. That's an improvement obviously but it's not nearly enough to bring Obamacare to the overall 38 percent level that was anticipated prior to launch. Once the new figures are averaged in with the rest, we can see how little difference they make. The cumulative percentage of young people for all four months of enrollment now stands at 25 percent, an increase of just one percent from where it stood at the end of December."

See: http://www.breitbart.com/InstaBlog/20...

The bottom line is that people were going to enroll, and the program was EVENTUALLY going to get "on track." But the problems still remain. The President can't keep kicking significant provisions down the road without consequence. Eventually the piper has to be paid, and the Democrats will suffer the consequences. The people who are being helped by this program were Democratic party constituencies all along. Everyone KNEW this. The people who are getting screwed by the program are the rest, to include independents and the swing voters. These are the people who will remember in November.

That article you posted is from January!
Here is a recent link from "The Most Trusted Name IN News-the News network that's falling behind MSNBC...

http://money.cnn.com/2014/02/12/news/...

They posted another link about how the news is GREAT but the Dems have to work on talking points because the good news took everyone by surprise.

sebekm commented on Friday, Feb 14, 2014 at 14:25 PM

Regardless - here's two articles from THIS WEEK which debunk the administration's numbers and their methodology getting there:

http://m.washingtonexaminer.com/numbe...

http://www.breitbart.com/InstaBlog/20...

You can attack the sources, but do you REALLY expect this administration to tell the truth when the program is such a disaster and so much is on the line for them politically?

I stand by my prior statements and information. When the INSURANCE COMPANIES confirm the administration's numbers, then I'll believe then. Until then, I'll continue to assume that they're still earning FOUR PINOCCHIOS for lying about their numbers:

http://townhall.com/tipsheet/guybenso...

sebekm commented on Friday, Feb 14, 2014 at 14:33 PM

Here's the complete Washington Post analysis of the Obama Administration's FOUR PINOCCHIO claims about ObamaCare enrollment numbers (from four days ago):

http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/f...

Bottom Line: They are LYING about the numbers. If they told the truth, they would be confirming what the Republicans are saying. They will do and say anything in order NOT to do that.

Both sides are manufacturing political sausage for the masses. It ani't purrtaaye but this is the way it is. They ALL lie!!!

timeontarget commented on Sunday, Feb 16, 2014 at 07:30 AM

They all lie and get away with it because our press has ceased to be the fourth estate.

Funkentelecky commented on Sunday, Feb 16, 2014 at 11:07 AM

Democrats get away with lying at a disproportional rate because of overwhelming support from the Lamestream media.
