Obana's Solar Energy Boondoggle

This is from:

Personal Liberty Digest

A Libertarian website:

“Every four minutes another American home or business goes solar, every panel pounded into place by a worker whose job can’t be outsourced. Let’s continue that progress with a smarter tax policy that stops giving $4 billion a year to fossil fuel industries that don’t need it so we can invest more in fuels of the future that do.”

— President Barack
Obama, State of the Union address, Jan. 28, 2014

Here’s a better idea: Let’s progress with a smarter tax policy that stops giving $4 billion a year to fossil fuel industries, and stop there.

Glance down the trail of destruction carved out of the American economy by the crony policies of the illegal usurper currently occupying the people’s house, and you will see it littered with the bodies of his favored green energy boondoggles.

Like armadillos along a southern interstate highway, they lay toes up, rotting away.

Despite billions of dollars printed at the Fed and thrown at the Solyndras and Solar Trust of Americas of the world by Obama’s Department of Energy, solar energy firms remain unviable.

Yet Obama wants to throw more money at them still.

Solar energy is — for lack of a stronger term — inefficient.
Billions of dollars have already been poured into wasteful solar energy projects.

And it’s being done so on the basis of two lies: that solar energy effectively reduces so-called carbon emissions and that solar power is now cost-effective.

The DOE’s National Renewable Energy Laboratory says that it will take at least 11 more years for solar power generation western States to have a chance to become cost-competitive.

Solar electricity is currently 67 percent more expensive to produce than wind and is twice as expensive to produce as natural gas.

Already solar energy receives a subsidy of 96 cents per kilowatt hour (kwh).

Other forms of renewable energy receive a subsidy of only 1 cent per kwh.

So while solar’s costs look low, 96 percent of the cost is paid for out of the Treasury rather than by the consumer.

Solar energy is just another wealth redistribution scheme where the U.S. government picks the winners and losers, with the winners always being friends of the regime.

The science of anthropogenic global warming is anything but settled — Obama’s lofty declaration during the SOTU notwithstanding — and, in fact, is standing on ground far shakier than that over the San Andreas Fault.

And so is the idea that solar energy reduces carbon.

A study by McKinsey and Company determined that use of nuclear, wind and even coal with carbon capture do more to reduce so-called greenhouse gases.

Bloomberg New Energy Finance found that solar panels ranked 28th out of 33 “carbon-reducing” options.

Obama’s attacks on coal-fired electric generating plants have had the effect of reducing the amount of electricity produced in the United States.

But renewables have not picked up the slack, despite the billions of dollars being thrown at them.

In 2008, according to the Energy Information Administration, the U.S. generated a net of 4,119,388 million kwh of electricity.

In 2012 that total was down to 4,047,765 million kwh.

So electricity production is down 1.7 percent under Obama, even as he’s gone full-throttle in his promotion of electric cars as the future of the car industry — another boondoggle his regime is throwing money away on hand over fist.

The trend continued in 2013. Through the first nine months of last year — which is currently all the data available — electricity production stood at 3,078,460 million kwh.

In the same time frame of 2012, a total of 3,095,504 million kwh was produced.

Under Obama’s reign of error and despite the investment of billions of dollars, solar’s contribution to the entire energy production grid has climbed from .02 percent to a whopping .2 percent.

Meanwhile, the cost of electricity continues to soar.

In December 2009, the month before Obama was inaugurated, the Bureau of Labor Statistic’s seasonally adjusted electricity index was 193.965, according to CNSNews.

In December 2013, the index was up to a record 203.186.

In December 2008, one kwh of electricity cost the consumer 12.4 cents on average.

Last month (after five years of Obama policies), the average cost of electricity was 13.1 cents per kwh.

The upshot is, if you’re a financial contributor to Obama’s campaign or library fund or the Democrat National Committee and you can claim to have a green energy idea, it’s a lucrative time.

But if you’re an American consumer of electricity, you are being fleeced.

You want a comment Tot? Where are YOUR words? Anybody can cut and paste. I could literally FLOOD this site with articles every day as could many others. I just do not think that is the intent of this site.

I know you ain't gonna listen to me about anything. But I do wish you would maybe think about it. You know, maybe wrap some of your words around an article you like, then provide a link to the article.

timeontarget commented on Monday, Feb 10, 2014 at 09:10 AM

JimmyMack, I understand and believe it or not I agree.

I personally prefer that we all refrain from cut and paste.

However your stalking of tot and posting degrading comments about tot drove me to the point of not wanting to make any personal commentary on anything.

Your comment above is almost exactly what tot said to icyman a couple of years ago.

timeontarget commented on Monday, Feb 10, 2014 at 09:14 AM

I once said to Jimmy Darsey that he was singlehandedly (sp) stiffling this blog post.

I love to write but I will not tolerate disgusting comments about my Mother or myself.

And you don't even know who Timeontarget is.

Thanks anyway.

Thanks for your cival comment Feb 10, 2014 at 8:32 AM

I must sign off for now as I have chores to do.

JimmyMack commented on Monday, Feb 10, 2014 at 10:15 AM

@Tot. Responding to your blogs or comments is NOT stalking behavior Tot. Tho that is what Murrellet said about me and others once before. She even supposedly turned me in to the FBI for cyber stalking. Funny thing tho, I never heard from them and Murrellet was the one kicked out of here for her behavior. I've learned you get what you ask for here, Tot.

You hide behind anonymity Tot. You have access to my name because I willingly put it out there. I believe one should take responsibility for ones words.

I do not know what you mean about your mother. Where does that come from?

You can continue hiding under your rock but that is not going to stop me from commenting on your inanities here. And you know what they say Tot: If you can't take the heat, then get out of the kitchen. Even while hiding out you have revealed that you are not protected from any barbs by so doing. They sting don't they!

BTW: You live down the street from me and I do know who you are. I respect your wife Tot but you do not elicit the same respect from me. Hiding behind her skirt is the Cowards way out.

You've made your bed. Now you must sleep in it.

timeontarget commented on Monday, Feb 10, 2014 at 16:03 PM

Well I am disappointed because I thought for a short time here,

that we were going to be able to exchange thoughts and opinions in civil fashion.

They don't really sting, because you really don't know who timeontarget is.

timeontarget commented on Monday, Feb 10, 2014 at 16:10 PM

I do not want to contribute anything that diminishes the stature of the local electronic community blog site.

I guess I'll just cut and paste to add my two cents worth.

Jimmy I'll cease responding to your comments as well as your blogs.

Sorry but you make timeontarget uncomfortable.

JimmyMack commented on Monday, Feb 10, 2014 at 17:02 PM

You continue attempting to goad me on about your real ID. NOW HEAR THIS: I DO KNOW WHO YOU ARE. EVEN IF I DIDN'T YOU HAVE ALREADY FESSED UP THAT BARBS AIMED AT THE ANONYMOUS TOT MADE TOT UNCOMFORTABLE. So whether I do in fact know who you are OR NOT, I seem to be able to get to you even when you are hiding behind your disquise. That's gotta hurt.

Well get ready, you right wing buffoon, because Hell is coming for breakfast...Padrick.

JimmyMack commented on Monday, Feb 10, 2014 at 17:09 PM

p.s. Tot: you deserve to be made to feel uncomfortable. You are a blogging Klan type replete with the white hood.

A member of the community, but one who prefers to remain anonymous regarding their 'message.' The Klan failed with this modis operandi and so will you: TOT

"So whether I do know who you are OR NOT, I seem to be able to get to you even when you are hiding behind your disguise. That's gotta hurt."

"Well get ready, you right wing buffoon, because Hell is coming for breakfast...Padrick."

I do not understand why you JM want to drive participants from this site simply because they are of a different persuasion politically.

I doubt that Mr Watkins would agree with that.

But then again he just might.

We'll see.

JimmyMack commented on Tuesday, Feb 11, 2014 at 09:38 AM

I am not trying to drive ANYONE away from this site. We are all, for the most part, talking\writing about Politics in some shape or form. Politics along with Religion and Sex are hot button issues, Tot. You seem oblivious to the IMPACT of YOUR own words on the folks with whom you disagree: Liberal Democrats. Folks have strong feelings regarding the aforementioned issues and the exchanges can sometimes become heated. You use a broad brush when you paint Liberals as accessories to MURDER regarding those children at Sandy Hook. That Tot IS A VERY PROFOUND INSULT. And, it possesses the capability of maybe some to run for cover or abandon this site. But, some of us will stand our ground and push back at such a dastardly comment.

Tot, do you see me 'trying to drive folks away' like Funk, Sebe, MLC, R4L, and other Conservatives or those who urge voting AGAINST Democrats??!!!

The answer to that question is: NO. You know why that is TOT? It is because they state their views in a rational and coherent manner and diplomatically avoid (mostly) playing the blame game.

You, on the other hand Tot, use your words recklessly and in a demeaning way and you do so in a completely seemingly un-self aware fashion. To me, you are just a right wing semi-literate reckless redneck with a laptop. And, I am not going to let you fly under the radar.

If that makes you uncomfortable so be it.

JimmyMack commented on Tuesday, Feb 11, 2014 at 09:54 AM

Besides ToT, I believe Mr. Watkins would fire a shot over Mine or Your bow, if he thought either one of us was wandering too far off the leash. You say\write offensively regarding those that do not agree with YOU, Tot. If I am in deep kimshee then so are you.

timeontarget commented on Tuesday, Feb 11, 2014 at 12:47 PM

"I am not trying to drive ANYONE away from this site."

Jimmy you said yourself in a comment on the blog On Subject of Abortion the following::

"YOur own words reveal your malignant sickness Tot. And...if you must know... I ain't anywhere NEAR my capability regarding inflicting a personal attack. If my blogs stop you from commenting then I have done my job here on these pages. You ain't built for this."

timeontarget commented on Tuesday, Feb 11, 2014 at 12:57 PM

Timeontarget has not personally attacked you are anyone else.

I do have strong opinions on matters general such as homosexuality, religion, discipline, politics and military among other things.

When we were growing up we all adopted our own left or right political persuasion.

Mine is for the most part right wing but for a long time I have held some liberal beliefs regarding marijuana and our ALL VOLUNTEER MILITARY.

JimmyMack commented on Tuesday, Feb 11, 2014 at 16:11 PM

My goodness Tot: I qualified my comment by saying "IF" my BLOGS stop you from commenting then I have done my job (as it relates to YOU Tot)here on these pages. You ain't built for this."

You have expressed disgust towards me and my comments. You have labeled Liberals (me) as helping Adam Lanza kill them babies. A PROFOUND INSULT that I will never forget. Fine. I HAVE to deal with that. But I am not going let such an insult get by without comment. Ever.

Getting back to 'running folks off,' as far as I know, or have seen, you are the ONLY one who feels compelled to leave this site as a result of my words. Sure, you can internalize and postulate that folks leave because of me. That internal judgement is yours and is on you. You are not a psychiatrist Tot. You cannot read minds. You need to understand, Tot, that I am as offended as much by your words as you are by mine. But I am not about to run away from them.

I realize my capability to sling sharp verbal spears. And if I am better at it than you, and you are discomforted by this exercise of free speech, then I guess YOU TOT should leave if you cannot take it or don't have the stomach for it.

Like I said: You ain't built for this. I am not about to lower what, if any, proficiency I have at stringing words together just to suit you. And I never will. If that makes you uncomfortable. Tough cookies.

I will give you some unsolicited advice given to me by a very good journalist regarding 'harsh' criticism:
When it happens....IGNORE IT. DON'T LET IT CONSUME YOU. You might wish to try that Tot, cause I am NOT going to shut up or write namby pamby words just to assuage you.
