Dr. Carsons on the Presidents address.

The more I hear from Dr. Carson the more impressed I become with him. I did not watch the Presidents address last night but none of what I have seen and heard this morning surprises me.

Dr. Benjamin S. Carson

"The president's declaration of his intent to bypass Congress to achieve various legislative goals is a slap in the face to all those who respect our Constitution and who truly understand the goal of liberty and justice for all. Obviously throughout the rollout of Obamacare he has already demonstrated a willingness to unilaterally change laws that should only be done at the legislative branch of government. The fact that he has not been challenged emboldens him and one can easily see that this could lead to a dramatic change in the way our country is governed in the future. While the free press would propose to be the guardian of liberty and the sentinel of truth, many no longer understand that concept and have become advocates of an ideology that opposes the ideas of the founders of this nation. In order to preserve the liberties and the opportunities that were envisioned by our founders, We The People must educate ourselves on our own accord without the alliance of the press.

It is absolutely imperative that we as American citizens begin to get together and discuss exactly what kind of country they would like to pass on to their children for generations to come. We must determine if we are truly willing to fight for it. This means educating ourselves and engaging in discussions like in the pre revolutionary days. Unless us citizens of America take upon ourselves the responsibility to passionately live by our own Constitution, we will irreversibly under go fundamental change. It is truly up to us to change this troubling catastrophe."

Timeontarget is proud to copy and post this.

I feel like Obama is going to have been the most damaging President in history and this Congress will also have been the most damaging in history also.

Incumbency and blind party loyalty have virtually caused our government to cease to function.

@TOt-President Obama Has Issued Fewer Executive Orders Than Any President in Over 100 Years. He has the same privileges as the presidents before him.

Dr. Carson is quickly diminishing his brand as a brilliant surgeon by his insulting comments. I think it comes from the arrogance of assuming just because one is a brilliant surgeon, that talent can translate to politics. I'm sorry but people like him don't unify the country they continue to tear us apart.

JimmyMack commented on Wednesday, Jan 29, 2014 at 14:53 PM

@PN. You are absolutely correct. Same reasoning you make regarding Carson applies to Tot. See below my post on Ted's Blog re: Tot.

1. Issuing fewer Executive Orders have nothing to do with what the orders are doing in regards to actual constitutional authority. And don’t ever forget to listen and adhere to what Obama says he will do in regards to what he will actually do. Let’s tackle constitutional authority, the Legislative branch writes laws and the Executive branch signs them into law. PN or Jimmy please enlighten me where in the constitution the President is given unilateral authority to change a law without congress approval ”Obamacare” the most prominent example and now daring congress of what he will do in 2014. Can anyone else besides me see a man that considers himself a ruler and or dictator? And don’t forget this video because it backs up the facts absolutely.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Eci77P...

Please feel free to comment, because I know I speak the truth and I try my darnedest to follow the rules of law and if I mess up, I fess up. What say U?

2. Obama has already diminished his brand as a President and leader to those who actually care about the rule of law, taking responsibility for your own actions and last but not least in two parts telling us the truth and admitting our own mistakes. That is exactly what Ben Carson is doing, however if you are still drinking cool aid and not turning the pages over to get more of the story, you are doing yourself and the country a disservice.

3. Jimmy, PN is sincere as far as I can tell; however you and she fail to see and admit/misinformed/uninformed that Obama don’t really care about rule of law. He cares more about power and ideology. During his first two years when he had Control of both chambers of congress he said “We don’t mind the Republicans joining us they can go come for the ride but they got to sit in the back”
PN where you when the community organizer and black President that don’t actually know what it’s like to grow up within a traditional black experience/family was fanning these racial flames by using Saul Alinsky's "Rules for Radicals tactics!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Here is Obama making the statements, why is this type of comment acceptable by anyone? Especially when they are the President?

Hi Funk. I'll be with you in just a second. Trying to get that last drop of Kool aid out the cup....Ok...there it is...woooooooeeeee! Now THAT is what I call a jolt. I like mine red and like some of us Liberals, I lace my morning doses with LSD. My favorite concoction is red kool aid lased with yellow sunshine acid. This is the only form in which I can handle any sort of nourishment consisting of a red and yellow combination.(See previous comments made regarding your gracious invitation to lunch and food choices) The whole thing presents challenges not only to well meaning people such as you and MikeLongCounty, but to my wife also. I can be dressed up, but it is hard to take me out in public. Not being a social butterfly type while also inflicted with the chilling ability to kill pleasant get togethers just by entering the room (See my profile)I present many challenges.

But, I digress. I will be brief.

I watched the link above showing Monica Crowley the right wing nut job slinging her mud. Monica is better looking then her right wing soulmate and confirmed lunatic Ann Coulter. Coulter seems about two hormone treatments away from completing her sex change from a man to a woman. Looks ain't everything, of course. Monica and Coulter are bonded, along with their latent homosexual, still in the closet, the quadrupled married Rush Limbaugh. Not that being homosexual is a bad thing. So, I must ask of you: WHAT'S NEW? The triumphirate above are committed to the destruction of BHO and any liberal within striking distance. They all have Obama in their crosshairs. Was I supposed to be jarred into divine revelation after listening to Crowley? I am sorry to disappoint you here, Funk. Maybe its my daily use of the Kool-Aid, but I ain't buying what none of them are selling.

Try Tot. He will be a willing customer.

BHO has used his executive authority LESS than George W. and LESS than Ronald Wilson Reagan, whose 3 names by the way, number 6-6-6!!! And we all know what that means don't we? Don't provide yall's Conservative snake handlers with that last piece of information tho. Yall are gonna need to keep their uninformed vote as part of your conservative constituency.

The Devil will quote the scriptures to you Funk. Your sources above are his human minions on Earth. Right Wing Extremist Tea Party Conservatism is straight out of the Devil's playbook.

Were you expecting something else from me?

sebekm commented on Thursday, Jan 30, 2014 at 19:26 PM

I wasn't. Carson makes SENSE - something that the left finds hard to understand.

JimmyMack commented on Thursday, Jan 30, 2014 at 21:42 PM

At the most...the extreme immost, Carson May be the Howard Dean of the Republican's. That it. And he will fail. Unlike Howard Dean.

Funkentelecky commented on Friday, Jan 31, 2014 at 05:38 AM

Hi Jimmy, no comment in regards to your first paragraph.

However, I was expecting a more sensible dialogue from you to my response instead of

S = Switch the subject
I = Ignore the facts
N = Name Call

You didn't addres not even an iota of dialogue or facts to dispute what I have presented to you about Obama, all you did was S.I.N. my patriotic blogging friend.

A candidate like Carson would be great for the the country and would unleash an economy and initiate policies that would benefit all Americans..

Apologies to Steve Miller.

JimmyMack commented on Friday, Jan 31, 2014 at 13:19 PM

Ok Funk, my friend. I will give you just this: If Obama is as "unconstitutional" and potentially the 'criminal' as the right wing purports him to be (see your clip above)
Please tell ME What in the world that exists within Legal channels, the judicial branch, and more to the point: The Republican controlled House, that allows this man to continue his "dictatorial reign" with impunity?

How does that happen?

Nixon was sacked with much less (though proven thru legal channels to be an "unindicted co-conspirator"), than what the right wing talking heads scream into the television and radio day in and out regarding Obama!!!!

Please tell ME: Where exactly is the LAW OF THE LAND when it comes to this notorious "breaker of laws" BHO?? Where is It? Why isn't something done?

I will answer that for you: It's because it is what it is: PARTISAN POLITICS sans criminality. BHO is a liberal democrat and it drives conservatives crazy.

We are a Nation of Laws, Funk. And thank God, not a nation of politically motivated emotionally charged propagandic lynch mobs that if left to their own devices would do just that to the President; lynch him!! We just happen to have laws to STOP that sort of thing, and to deal with real criminals in Office such as Nixon.

So, regarding my invalid "response" to your questions in your posts above: what good does it serve to engage in any 'serious' discussion regarding such partisan lunacy?

My responses above are very much apropos regarding your inquiry of me.

sebekm commented on Friday, Jan 31, 2014 at 14:58 PM

"And he will fail. Unlike Howard Dean."

Last time I checked Howard Dean was unsuccessful (more than once?) in obtaining the Democratic nomination for President.

"A candidate like Carson would be great for the the country and would unleash an economy and initiate policies that would benefit all Americans."

He would. But the left would "Uncle Tom" him to death, and the right wouldn't enthusiastically galvanize behind his nomination. Remember, Obama was essentially a novelty who the Dems sold enough independents/swing voters that his time had come. He had no experience or any real "qualifications," but he had charisma and could talk a good game. Remember also that his opponent was (in the words of Andy Griffith), "dryer than dust" and a Republican who came on the heels of eight years of Dubya, who the left was pounding with "Bush lied, etc." and "he stole the 2000 election."

Carson wouldn't have the "novelty factor" going for him, nor would he have the Democratic Party platform which basically says "free stuff for everybody" which the other guy (i.e., "rich white males") have to pay for. Its a whole different ball game now.

JimmyMack commented on Friday, Jan 31, 2014 at 15:59 PM

Hi Sebe. Unlike Carson, Dean ran and was elected to higher office. Though he did not garner the Demo nomination against Kerry he later went on successfully energize the Democratic base and was successful in paving the way for several heretofore RED states to blue ones via various use of technologies and as Chairman of the Democratic Party; besides being a successful Physician.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Howard_Dean

You are correctomundo tho re: "It's a whole different ball game now." _That's what I have been saying now for a long time cept I've alluded to the same point you make by saying: "It's a New World, Charlie Brown."

Also, though not necessarily for all the same reasons you state for Carson not making it, I agree with you that Carson will NOT be the Republican Nominee. Not in 2016. Never.

sebekm commented on Friday, Jan 31, 2014 at 20:28 PM

You said "unlike Howard Dean," Carson would fail. My point was that Dean DID fail. He did not secure the nomination, which I assume your point was that Carson wouldn't (either).

JimmyMack commented on Saturday, Feb 01, 2014 at 05:24 AM

Yeah, I should have stated it more clearly. Dean did not get the nomination but he did have much success in energizing the party, expanding its base, serving as a Governor as well as being a physician.

Carson has an audience amongst some but I doubt he will ever achieve public office by being elected. It IS possible, I think, that a Republican President may one day appoint him to a position.

JimmyMack commented on Saturday, Feb 01, 2014 at 11:08 AM

I, now after coffee, still say Carson will fail under the electoral light of public scrutiny. Though Dean missed the big enchilada, he never the less won public office(s).

Funkentelecky commented on Saturday, Feb 01, 2014 at 13:58 PM

Jimmy in public scrutiny do you mean government establishment Republicans, Democrats and Lamestream media? Because if you mean public citizens I don't think that will be true. Remember Herman Cain went from unknown candidate and became the front runner. That's when the establishment went after him with the baseless attacks about the women, and hardly anyone on the left had an open mind about it including you. Yet you are more than open minded when it comes to Obama . You don't give conservatives the benefit of the doubt, IMHO!

JimmyMack commented on Saturday, Feb 01, 2014 at 14:48 PM

Ok Funk. I'm feeling pretty good today and will... now hear this: AGREE with you. In a moment of non-partisan fairness, I will state that Carson seems sincere and is a good man. I really don't think he is a Tea Party type, but I don't know. I think he would make a viable establishment Republican. And that comment is coming from a committed Democrat! He probably could win an office if he wasn't 'primaried' out and eaten by a Tea Partier in a Red District or a Red State.

Now I must get back to finishing making my Brunswick Stew for tomorrow's game. I put my C-Note on Denver and gave the 2.5 points to Seattle. If Denver wins by 3 I get my hundred back plus another hundred. If Denver doesn't cover the spread or loses the game, then I'm out a hundred smackers and a 10 dollar 'burn' fee. I HATE the burn fee.
Will be watching the Game at home with my wife and just another couple.

Hope you have a good day and enjoy yourself. May the best team win tomorrow.

Funkentelecky commented on Saturday, Feb 01, 2014 at 16:48 PM

Thanks for your sincere and thoughtful insight. That's how I feel too! I hope the Bronco's can bring their "A" game to the field tomorrow for a victory.

Hope you have a good day tomorrow with your friends too :-)
