It well may have been "overcome by events," whatever that means, please explain.

I posted this as Arts and Entertainment because that is what it is and as to that aspect of the issue I'd rate it as a first class piece of production.

Now as to the politics of the message, I tend to agree, almost entirely.

I'm interested in all points of view.

Well, I think it is a great post and I too agree with the politics of it. We are still losing young men and women to the Bush Wars. So many lives lost and IRAQ is no better off for it. Al Quaida is back in charge of Fallugia (sic) and terror is rampant in the streets. All done by Cheney's toy. We have brought added instability to an already dangerous and unstable area of the world.

I personally think that doing away with the military draft was what enabled our elected President and Congress to direct our military to invade other nations at will.

Our military misadventures brought on the current situation.

Obama is just as guilty as Bush in my opinion.

JimmyMack commented on Friday, Jan 10, 2014 at 10:50 AM

Obama is trying to finish what Bush started. It is as Colin Powell told W. before the no WMD's wars: "Just remember Mr. President, if you break it you own it;" referring to IRAQ and Afghanistan. Cost to America was something W. could not come to terms with. How could a born into privilege rich boy born with a silver spoon so far up his throat you couldn't get it out with a crowbar relate to accumulating massive debt in terms of money and loss of human life?

Answer: he couldn't.

Moral Befuddlement in Ferguson
November 26, 2014
The rioting and lawlessness displayed by the black community in Ferguson is a reflection of just how far backward we have slipped in our racial divide. I wish our black citizens could come to terms with themselves and I wish we could all join together to heal our society. We ...

Mayor Thomas on SPLOST
November 19, 2014
Sunday's Courier published a piece about Mayor Thomas proclaiming that without SPLOST the council is forced to raise taxes for continuing operation of our city government. How can this be?
