Well Ice, that's a mighty nice thing to offer, especially this time of year. It is hard to 'advertise' your services with out funds to do so. Not that it is what you are asking for but, the Animal Shelter is ALWAYS looking for help.
On the other hand, you might want to run it by the webmeister, P. Watkins, and explore something like: "Handyman Services" based on ability to pay or something. Since it is a free service you are offering maybe the Courier will give you some space.
You may want to check with Manna House or the Kirk Healing Center. They assist people down on their luck.
Then there are the Churches. You might want to consider making out a list of some sort of the things that you and your wife can do and for how long.
Good Luck and Merry Christmas.
Call the locl DFCS office and have them help you get in touch with the local Division of Aging Services worker. They can help you hook up with eldery and disabled persons who could use some extra assistance.
