"Sen. Feinstein (D-CA): 'Hillary Now More Than Ever'

The official Hillary 2016 launch is underway.

12.16.2013 By Ben Shapiro – truthrevolt.org

On Monday, Senator Dianne Feinstein (D-CA) penned an editorial for the Santa Clarita Valley News calling for former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton to run for president. “Hillary Now More Than Ever,” Feinstein wrote. She recalled how in 2000, Clinton called Feinstein asking for advice, and how “honored” she was. Feinstein wrote how she met Hillary in 1992 and was “immediately impressed by her commitment to helping people and her grasp of complex policy issues,” going on to call her “one of the most talented and impressive woman I’ve ever known.”

Feinstein did not point out a single outstanding accomplishment for the former First Lady. Instead, she suggested that Hillary was an “international superstar” who “did her homework” and “worked across the aisle.” Portraying the famously partisan Clinton as a bipartisan hero was a stretch, but Feinstein did her duty, characterizing Hillary as a “model senator.”

Feinstein recalled the get-together in her home between Clinton and then-Senator Barack Obama (D-IL) in 2008 after Hillary lost the nomination to Obama. “Cynics questioned Hillary’s commitment to that cause, but those of us who knew her well had no doubt: she would be an invaluable asset on the campaign trail and eventually a trusted adviser in the Obama administration’s cabinet,” Feinstein wrote, despite the fact that Clinton was quickly marginalized within the administration as various foreign policy gurus ranging from then-Senator John Kerry (D-MA) to Richard Holbrooke were elevated. Nonetheless, Feinstein asserted without evidence that Hillary was an “outstanding diplomat” who was “always a steady hand on the foreign policy rudder.” No mention of Benghazi was made.

But the praise didn’t stop coming from Feinstein: “Hillary is a patriot who loves her country completely. Her deep commitment to public service and progressive causes runs through her veins.”

Finally, Feinstein said, in true sexist fashion, that Hillary would make a great president because she is a woman: “We both have a daughter, and I know Chelsea enriches Hillary’s life far and above any achievement in politics or government. That special relationship is one reason the well-being of women and girls has been central to her agenda, as far back as the United Nations Women’s Conference in Beijing nearly 20 years ago.”

She concluded:

I was an early and enthusiastic supporter during Hillary’s run for the White House in 2008. I believed she would be a spectacular leader and a transformative president for our country. I still believe that. Now more than ever."

HRC has as more experience than W. did when he ran for POTUS. Besides, women are smarter than men. WE Need a Woman to run the country. I have already sent her a check!

experience like this? people have very short memories.

Excerpted from EO-History: The now-retired general counsel and chief of staff of the House Judiciary Committee, who supervised Hillary when she worked on the Watergate investigation, says Hillary’s history of lies and unethical behavior goes back farther – and goes much deeper – than anyone realizes.

Jerry Zeifman, a lifelong Democrat, supervised the work of 27-year-old Hillary Rodham on the committee. Hillary got a job working on the investigation at the behest of her former law professor, Burke Marshall, who was also Sen. Ted Kennedy’s chief counsel in the Chappaquiddick affair. When the investigation was over, Zeifman fired Hillary from the committee staff and refused to give her a letter of recommendation – one of only three people who earned that dubious distinction in Zeifman’s 17-year career.

Why?

“Because she was a liar,” Zeifman said in an interview last week. “She was an unethical, dishonest lawyer. She conspired to violate the Constitution, the rules of the House, the rules of the committee and the rules of confidentiality.”

and lest not forget who answered the 3:00 am call form Benghazi.

It seemed to me like NOBODY answered that call.

One of the biggest knocks on Hillary is that when you closely examine her RECORD - there is no record. But she certainly provides - for the Democrats - a lot of HOPE for CHANGE. But after eight years of Obama's "hope and change" that wasn't, I wonder if the rest of the voting population will be buying that theme in 2016. I seriously doubt it, but you never know.

The reason I posted this article was that I thought it curious that we'd have a senior Democrat Senator - after only the first year of an incumbent Democrat President's second term - saying that we need SOMEBODY ELSE AS PRESIDENT - *NOW MORE THAN EVER*! I found that an incredible statement to make. Second term presidents historically become "lame ducks" in their last two years - not after only one year when they just won in an electoral vote landslide.

There's more here than just another Democrat trying to change the subject from ObamaCare or to pump up HRC's 2016 chances. Exactly what I'm not sure, but Feinstein certainly made a statement (NOT favorable to President Obama) with the timing and phraseology of this one.
