Iran Accuses White House Of Lying About Nuke Deal

That's what the headline of this article says. Now even the IRANIANS are accusing this White House of LYING. (I guess it takes one to know one.) The article begins:

"Iran: White House Lying About Details of Nuke Deal

Iranian officials say White House fact sheet is ‘invalid’

Iranian officials say that the White House is misleading the public about the details of an interim nuclear agreement reached over the weekend in Geneva.

Iran and Western nations including the United States came to an agreement on the framework for an interim deal late Saturday night in Geneva. The deal has yet to be implemented

The White House released a multi-page fact sheet containing details of the draft agreement shortly after the deal was announced.

However, (an) Iranian foreign ministry official on Tuesday rejected the White House’s version of the deal as “invalid” and accused Washington of releasing a factually inaccurate primer that misleads the American public.

“What has been released by the website of the White House as a fact sheet is a one-sided interpretation of the agreed text in Geneva and some of the explanations and words in the sheet contradict the text of the Joint Plan of Action, and this fact sheet has unfortunately been translated and released in the name of the Geneva agreement by certain media, which is not true,” Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Marziyeh Afkham told the Iranian press on Tuesday.

Afkham and officials said that the White House has “modified” key details of the deal and released their own version of the agreement.

Iran’s right to enrich uranium, the key component in a nuclear weapon, is fully recognized under the draft released by Tehran."

I guess it's not unexpected to find that this administration is willing to "distort" the truth for political gain. The Los Angeles Times pointed this out in an op-ed piece late last month titled: "Obama's Big Lie." It concludes like this:

"At the 2008 Democratic National Convention, Obama talked at great length about the middle class and not once about the poor. His critics on the right said he was lying, that he was really more interested in income distribution. Such charges were dismissed as paranoid and even racist. But the critics were right. Obama was either lying to himself or to the rest of us — because he was playing the game to win."

Once again, this President is playing the game to win. But now WE THE PEOPLE see his game, and the mainstream media isn't drinking his Kool-Aid any more. They are starting to act like the Fourth Estate is SUPPOSED to act. They are starting to ask the questions that the Republicans and Fox News have been asking for five years. Why? Because all of the recent polls show that most Americans now believe Mr. Obama is untrustworthy - in numbers getting into George W. Bush territory. (Obama has a ways to go to catch Richard Nixon, but if the downward spiral continues, even Nixon's "dishonesty" numbers might be in jeopardy.)

Over the past 40 years, Iran has written the playbook on prevarication, deception, distortion, "misstatements," and "misleading" just about everyone, everywhere, about everything. When the Iranians call you a liar, you're down there with the lowest of the low.

It's amazing to me that with a large portion of the international community being frustrated with broken promises that this administration continues full steam ahead. As I stated in a previous blog; we are in danger of doing some things we can't take back after it fails. The healthcare issue is a prime example; it is clearly flawed and continues to spirial downward but once again. Damn the Torpedoes, Full Steam Ahead. I cannot wait for this cat to be gone. There is no telling how many years it will take to undue all of his missteps. Sebe, you are dead on with saying that when you have the worlds biggest liar calling you out; we are in trouble.

"They are starting to act like the Fourth Estate is SUPPOSED to act."

AMEN

If the Fourth Estate would return to acting like it is supposed to act at all levels to include right here at home we would all be better off.

This line of thought is why TOT is so resentful of our County Organ allowing some of us to use this community blog site to trash talk about others who make comments with which they are in disagreement with.

@Tot: where did that comment come from about the fourth Estate?
