Carrie Underwood and Brad Paisley provided some great humor at the CMA music awards last night. They put a great spin on George Strait's, Amirillo by Morning. What do you think about it?

"Over six people served"

JimmyMack commented on Thursday, Nov 07, 2013 at 17:30 PM

I like Brad Paisley and I have unclean thoughts about Carrie Underwood on a recurring basis.

This doesn't change my mind about them or Obamacare. But thanks for sharing this Funk. I went to bed early last nite. Had to have a Glucose Tolerance Test today. Had to go in fasting. GTT took 3.5 hours.

I'm good to go. Got to adjust my diet and get my tryglycerides down. Total Cholesterol was 199. :)!

Thanks for posting Funk! I've heard bits and pieces of it today, it's been a loud day at work.
@JM not trying to be rude to the point of getting kicked off your party guest list! No one likes to hear of anyone's health problems... I'v stop asking older people a long time ago "How are you?" They give you their medical history. Why do older people do that?

Yes Jimmy Brad Paisley is talented isn’t he and Carrie Underwood is talented too with a voice so pleasing to hear and an appearance so pleasing for the eye to see: D. I’m also glad that you are in good health and is open and excited to share that great news about yourself; and I wish you plenty more years to come!

Thanks for your support too Sheran, and don’t take this as a negative either. I implore people to be more personable and give individual facts about themselves because it gives you a better understanding of them and their personal insight on a specific topic. Take me for example on my last comment to PN on her ”You’re poor and you don’t even know it blog” I’ve given a true and classic example of how the left misinterpret the people they say they are defending and are clueless of it.

@Sheran: I understand Sheran. As we age we begin to realize something we did not recognize in our 'invulnerable" youth: If you've got your health you have EVERYTHING.
Some of us aging Baby Boomers do over do it sometimes tho. I try not to go overboard with it.

Funny thing about aging tho, Sheran, at least in my case. I am 64 but still think in many ways like I am 25.

Which reminds me, do you go to the beach a lot, perhaps lay out in the sun?
Got any Beach photos you care to share?

See, I cannot help myself.

It was interesting to see the national media - by and large - ignore the ObamaCare "roast" by Paisley and Underwood, while if you recall several years ago they exulted in the Dixie Chicks lambasting Dubya. Another example of the double standard at its finest.

The latest on the Heathcare.gov fiasco is that ONE PERSON has successfully signed up for ObamaCare via Blue Cross Blue Shield through October 15th, but even that person hasn't officially "enrolled" because they haven't paid yet. Even worse:

"Blue Cross Blue Shield found the entire (Healthcare.gov) system is so filled with glitches that the company decided not to upload data because it was afraid false information might enter its computer system."

See: http://charlotte.cbslocal.com/2013/11...

This was my personal experience with BCBSGA when I called them on behalf of a family member who had gotten "Error 404" for a month when trying to examine "choices" online. The BCBSGA rep said he and his colleagues were similarly frustrated, as they couldn't get anything out of their tie-in to Healthcare.gov either. So rather than fighting the problem, we decided just to pay the higher rate and FUGGEDABOUTIT.

But we won't forget next November.

You may be right, Sebe. We will see. The Country Western Music and Nascar world have been in Republican hands ever since HRC uttered her Stand By Your Man comment and her 'vast right wing conspiracy' against Billy. Dems overcame those faux pas and went on to win the elections.

Also, there is little to none ethnic diversity in Country Music or the Boys Who Turn Left in their power cars.

The Dixie Chicks broke the mold, tho. There may be others like them that frown on Conservatism. I don't know.

Again, Time will tell.

@JM: 64 is not old in my book. Heck it's time to enjoy life...

Obamacare and the CBO -- No Longer 'Giddy'
