ObamaCare obviously wasn't. But the Saturday Night Live players obviously still are. An article posted at relates that:

"'SNL' Obamacare website parody not far from truth

A "Saturday Night Live" parody of Obamacare and the website got a lot of laughs when "SNL"'s Kate McKinnon portrayed Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius.

Little did the cast know how accurate its over-the-top satire would be.

"Millions of Americans are visiting, which is great news," McKinnon said during the opening of last week's show. "Unfortunately the site was only designed to handle six users at a time."

While the audience laughed, it turns out the satire wasn't that far off.

The Obama administration said there were 4.7 million unique visits to the website during its first 24 hours.

But here's the not-so-funny part: Only six users were able to enroll, according to CBS News.

The figure is within newly released documents from Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Service "war room" meetings that took place after the website failed on Oct. 1, CBS News reports.

By the afternoon of Oct. 2, the number of enrollments was "approximately 100," CBS says."

For the article, see:

For the CBS News report that only six people were able to successfully enroll online in ObamaCare, see:

It's no wonder the Obama administration has "declined" to reveal the actual number of enrollees up to now. If they did, WE THE PEOPLE might really get mad.

I wonder what your next obsession will be when the program is up and running?

sebekm commented on Friday, Nov 01, 2013 at 12:00 PM

Wait and see. In fact - you won't have to wait long. I'm just about to put up a blog which affirms how the United States military - in "general" - feel about the Democrats in general and the Obama administration in particular.

As for ObamaCare, I'll just continue to pass along the various confirmations of what everyone other than the Obama Kool-Aid drinkers could see all along.

I thought about this last night. Kitchens Mayor. Jimmy, Funk, Seb,Tot, Sheran, Jenkins and Up2 as council! What do you think?

sebekm commented on Friday, Nov 01, 2013 at 12:40 PM

Don't forget to include PolNat in there also. We need your passion and insights as well. The question is: would we get anything done? I say YES WE CAN (and would). But it's far, far easier for people like me to sit out here and snipe at those who accept the challenge of government leadership - especially in these times where our first priority seems to be to eat our own. But I think that the crew you describe - PLUS POLITICSNATION - would get the job done and be more honest stewards of our responsibilities than the crew that's in there now.

But I could be wrong. Every president finds out during the first 90 days that things aren't quite what they seemed on the outside looking in.

.....we also need to add gacpl, graeme245, lholmes, whatshotlips and sportsfan31313 to the city government mix. All would contribute well. And don't forget icyman - he would make sure nobody gets complacent.

Well, thank you PN. And Sebe is right: you would HAVE to be in this group.

As for me, I would not survive a thorough background check. I would be culled out. Goes back to College involving a goat and a bunch of chickens. Oh, and a 'minor' fire. That and sitting in a circle with others surrounding a bong. For some reason, I can't recall details of my life during that period. I have been told some things regarding my behavior during those days. I just do not believe them all. There is no actual proof. Besides, even if it only happened ONCE, is it not one of the privileges of youth to remove ones clothing an charge the stage of an Allman Brothers Concert?

However, I would campaign and vote for any of the above to replace the ones now in Office. That includes: TOT.

PoliticsNation commented on Friday, Nov 01, 2013 at 15:49 PM

Lol...we would need iceman. He would have to escort me out after every meeting. I'm known to ruffle a few feathers. Jimmy, no one cares about the younger days..I'm sure a few of them on the council have a skeletons in their closet. I could see it now...Jimmy and Tot yelling at each other and Seb beating the gavel...Funk would spend hours talking about his past and Sheran would reflect back to the days when the economy was good for small business.

You possess tremendous insight, PN. I am glad you are here.

"As for me, I would not survive a thorough background check. I would be culled out."

Nope - don't make no difference. I'm not sure any of the incumbents could pass a "deep background" check either. So you're in, because - as they said in "White Men Can't Jump":

"Ain't no thang....ain't no thang."

I always did like gavels. This gentleman did too. Too bad he's no longer around to be part of the Kitchens Administration:

...but back to the "humor" - it appears that some people ARE successfully enrolling in ObamaCare:
