Although not suprising the census bureau has determined that there are more people receiving government assitance that people that actually work. What is wrong with this picture? I realize the economy has been hard but there is no one that anyone can tell me there is not any type of work for those on the government dole. However, if in fact that is the case, an updated version of FDR's " New Deal" should be considered. If you remember your history the New Deal addressed aging infrastructe, National Parks and many other programs that provided assitance but also improved our country and Natonalism which we need now more than ever.. During the rolling out of his plan he coined the famous phrase of; " The Only Thing we Have to Fear is Fear Itself". However in our current state of affairs it would be more like:" The Only Thing We Have to Fear is Having to Work"...
There has already been previous blogs about welfare assitance being more lucrative that working lower paying jobs. Our country has lost is sense of pride and the drive to succeed. Our younger generation has no clue about the real world and drive to succeed no matter what it takes. Even when I was in the Army I would work part time to provide better for my Family. We struggled early on and as I was promoted things contined to improve. The point I am making is that I paid my dues and proved myself before I expected an increase in compensation. We now live in a age where a majority want instant gratification without proving their worth. Accountability needs to move to the forefront; there are people that genuinely need assitance however, once again no one can convince me that 46 Million need it. Thoughts?

It's the Welfare State - as perpetuated by the Democrats - in action. Their goal is to have almost everybody (I guess the "millionaires" might be exempted) receiving government assistance and being beholdin' to them. Then - coupled with the demonization of the Republicans - they can continue to foster the illusion that they are the only ones who "care" about the people. This completes the circle and perpetuates the dependency of the "sheep" on the Democratic Party.

All joking aside, reducing benifits isn't neccesarily the answer as the people that do need are being punished for those that abuse the program. The answer is oversight and compliance checks. If we can weed out the percent that really does not need the program or all of the benifit the cost of the program will reduce. Secondly, if you are forced off the dole; you have no choice but to try and find work.

Fellas, I know most of yall are in a feeding frenzy with all that is going on with the ACA. However, I must say emphatically (if that matters at this point of the feeding) that I think it is a bit of an overstatement to say that the goal of the Democratic Party is to have most Americans receiving government assistance. That is a bit of a stretch no matter the degree of the perceived death grip you seem to think you have BHO and the Democratic Party in at the moment over ACA.

I still believe the Unabomber, for the most part, had some valid points regarding the havoc and intrusion into American's lives that technology would afflict upon us if not managed properly. He just made the egregious and evil choice of a methodology to make his point. That methodology of course was blowing human beings up to make his point and garner attention.

Perhaps it's not a "goal," but it plays into their plan to make voters beholding to THEM for what government can do for them (as opposed to what they can do for themselves). When they sell food stamps and tout how many new enrollees signed up as a direct result of their salesmanship, that sounds pretty close to a "goal" to me.

"Greater Good"
October 28, 2014
“Greater Good”, a point or ideology that has been defined, perceived, twisted, etc. So what does this mean? Is it fair to even apply this concept as at the end of the day whatever the definition is construed; Man is still making that determination. So now here we are with ...

After pursing the “headlines” for the last couple of days it seems painfully apparent to me that our nation is at a perilous crossroad. We are mired in such discord that your average Dooms Day Prepper is doing jumping jacks saying “I told You So….” I try to do my ...

Am I the only one that is concerned with the ineffective air campaign against ISIS? We seem to be going down the same road we did with Libya in regard to airstrikes that destabilize the region and disrupt the “enemy” but bring no semblance of peace and stability. Libya is ...

I am a little distressed with our Commander and Chumps methodology to address the ISIL. He has zero military experience and has already displayed a complete ineptness dealing with foreign policy. My first issue is the month long media blitz essentially describing when, what, and where we plan to strike; ...
