Here is an interview that focuses on the black family and its culture and how the black family has deteriorated in American society today in our country where opportunity and diversity for all is at its most equal levels in our history. However there isn’t enough GROWTH in the economy to spread the wealth, only big government intervention to suppress it. Watch the video with an open mind and decide for yourselves.

Tavis Smiley was quoted the other day that the biggest LOSERS during the Obama administration have been black people, who had a reasonable expectation that things would improve for them in this county. Just another indication that we have a leadership vacuum in Washington. I'll post the link tomorrow.

Fresh look at Dr. Carson

Second post above has the goods on the House Black Man.

I'm not sure how "fresh" a look Mr. Pitts can take on anything involving race.

"In June 2007, Pitts was the subject of a campaign of death threats and harassment by neo-Nazis, including Bill White, who were angry at a column he wrote about a white couple who were raped and murdered by five black assailants in Knoxville, Tennessee. In his column addressing the murders, Pitts wrote, "I am [...] unkindly disposed toward the crackpots, incendiaries and flat-out racists who have chosen this tragedy upon which to take an obscene and ludicrous stand. I have four words for them and any other white Americans who feel themselves similarly victimized. Cry me a river."

Pitts is another "ends justify the means" commentator whose views on race clearly keep him - in the words of Cornel West - "on the Obama plantation." It is in the extreme interests of blacks on the left to smash ANY blacks who stray off that plantation and want to act, speak, and most of all THINK for themselves. Ben Carson does all of these, and as such is subject to hate attacks by the Pitts and Sharptons of the left.

Tavis Smiley spoke the truth the other day when he said this in response to the question "Are black Americans better off five years into the Obama presidency?":

"Let me answer your question very forthrightly. No, they are not. The data is going to indicate sadly that when the Obama administration is over, black people will have lost ground in every single leading economic indicator category. On that regard, the president ought to be held responsible."

Now - Smiley isn't exactly straying off the plantation because he followed up with the typical Dem talking points that he "respects" the President and that he will "protect" the President. But it makes you ask "why such loyalty" to someone who obviously hasn't done what he promised and who actually allowed the situation to get WORSE. The only answer is that it's race based because the President is "one of us."

Sorry, but that's no basis for success - either in a town, or a city, or a country, or in this world. It's a prescription for failure.

Aw shucks, Sebe. Don't take it so hard. I mean Leonard is just speaking his views regarding another Black man. And Pitts is not just a run of the mill commentator. He is a nationally-syndicated columnist and WINNER OF THE PULITZER PRIZE for commentary. Course for some of those on the right winning the PULITZER PRIZE is just another designation akin say...to being honorably discharged from Service. But in reality it is NOT the same thing and you know it. Just because Pitts can find discernible fault with the right's house Negro, Ben Carson, angers many on the right and those who support them.

Leonard Pitts has won awards for his writing from the Society of Professional Journalists and the American Society of Newspaper Editors. Pitts was first nominated for the PULITZER PRIZE in 1993, eventually claiming the honor in 2004. The fact that he is hated by the Neo-Nazi's for his commentary is an indicator of how the right is uncomfortable with 'an uppity' person of color. Course all these awards Mr. Pitts has earned might not measure up to say...receiving an honorable discharge from Service or say garnering a Commanders Coin. So you may have a bone or two to pick with the brother on this one. I don't know, I evaded the draft myself.

So yes Sebe, Leonard takes his shots. And when he puts Ben Carson's name in the same article with Rush Limbaugh, it don't surprise me none that it makes Conservatives and the fringe Right down right mad.

The Tea Partiers and their sympathizers can keep their smooth talking and clever House Boy Carson, but I'm sticking wid Pitts who tells it like it really is. And I think the fact that you and I who are of lighter pigmentation should probably just shut the hell up and let the Brothers sort it out.

sebekm commented on Friday, Oct 18, 2013 at 17:58 PM

I know he's won the Pulitzer Prize. That doesn't make his opinion on Dr. Ben Carson any more valuable than yours or mine. I mean - after all - President Obama won the Nobel Peace Prize, and look what he's done with the economy and ObamaCare. George Will, William Safire, and Charles Krauthammer are Pulitzer Prize winners too, but I don't see them getting any special consideration from the left (or in comments on this here web site).

The "house boys" tended to stay ON the plantation, didn't they? That would exclude Carson.

Funkentelecky commented on Friday, Oct 18, 2013 at 20:27 PM

Leonard Pitts lacks common sense in regards to race and individual freedom for all Americans. Jimmy, when you find a black person that doesn’t even care that a white couple has been murdered and raped and shows no empathy whatsoever; he or she is a racist and hates white people. Pitts doesn’t tell it like it is he hates white people, and feels an entitlement that it’s ok for blacks to do anything they want to whites because whites enslaved us. “The ends justify the means.”

BTW, don’t cut yourself short because I feel that you and Chief should be in the dialogue too because you have experiences and pertinent information to add to the subject as well. Us brothers don’t own the subject, we just may have a little more experience in regards to dealing with each other (blacks).

Thanks, Funky. One thing about the Pulitzer Prize:

From my recent research it appears that the three conservative journalists I listed above are the RARE AWARDEE EXCEPTION. The general rule has been that if you are a conservative journalist, don't hold your breath waiting for a Pulitzer - no matter how great your stuff is. The Prize is of the liberals; by the liberals; and for the liberal journalists down through the years but especially since 1960. Here's a FrontPageMag.com article from 2004 (the year they gave one to Pitts) which pretty much tells the tale:

Thanks to you too Chief your approach towards civility is 2nd to none and it’s a shame that some will demonize because of the color of their skin or even the content of their character.

Jimmy here’s a white patriot that had Obama’s number within 2 months of him being sworn into office. Listen to this as he predicts what will happen under Obama:

timeontarget commented on Saturday, Oct 19, 2013 at 07:20 AM

Was it Dr. Carson who said Obamacare was never about health care at all, and continue to say Obamacare is all about control of the people.????????????????????

I can see where that is worse than slavery!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.

JimmyMack commented on Saturday, Oct 19, 2013 at 09:03 AM

One thing I can count on every time I stick my head down a Conservative Republican Rabbit hole I know what to expect: A circling of the war wagons in an effort to expunge the intruder from their domain (moi).

Yep. Yall got yalls gun slingers like the idiot Krauthammer (have you seen his face? You would think he would have consulted a plastic surgeon by now.), and we on the Left have ours.

Carson is the House Negro and I'm sticking with it and also hoping you tough talking conservatives somehow manage to get him on the Republican Ticket for Prez or even V.P. And here we all thought Little Big Horn was one of the greatest boondoggles in history.

So, naw fellas, go ahead and anoint your leader Ben. Just try not to get too mad if we run up the score on you guys. And after the massacre some of us Bleeding Hearts will come help yall clean up the mess left behind. Should be a moderate Conservative somewhere that escapes yalls train wreck. We will offer him food and shelter and lead him out of his mis-guided intellectual haze brought on to him by his good Dr. Krauthammer the Psychiatrist.

Gotta go watch game day friends. Its been nice as usual. And as Arnold said: I'll be back.

sebekm commented on Saturday, Oct 19, 2013 at 12:02 PM

It's not a circling of wagons - it is pointing out the obvious (which those who have their heads buried in the sand refuse to see). And Jimmy, it really is a low blow to trash the appearance of somebody who has been a paraplegic for more than 40 years. (It's also VERY UN-liberal-like.)

Krauthammer has had an outstanding career - in and out of the political media. Specifically - AFTER the diving accident which left him a paraplegic:

"From 1975 to 1978, Krauthammer was a resident and then a chief resident in psychiatry at the Massachusetts General Hospital. In 1984, he became board certified in psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. During his time as chief resident, he identified a form of mania based on a concomitant disorder, which was laid down as “Secondary Mania.” He also co-authored the path-finding study on the epidemiology of mania."

For the above quote and the facts on Krauthammer's distinguished career, see:

Krauthammer is no "idiot." And I can think of no one more qualified to comment on the maladies of the liberal left than a board-certified psychiatrist who is an expert in the identification of manias.

Funkentelecky commented on Saturday, Oct 19, 2013 at 12:53 PM

Jimmy, I welcome your comments and I didn’t attack you or circle any war wagons either. In fact I implored you and Chief to give freely any input you would like to add to the conversation based on your knowledge and experiences. BTW, the Republicans put forth two moderate Republicans in the last 2 election cycles and lost. Mitt Romney was the better of the 2 because he has the experience and leadership abilities to Grow the Economy. A principled Conservative/Libertarian/Independent or Democrat does not compromise on the rule of law. That’s another reason Obama is a failure because he doesn’t care about it. Check out my account of how Obamacare became law on Chiefs latest blog.

Jimmy, I don’t know if you realized it but you retorted to S.I.N. as Herman Cain has exposed and identified lot’s of Progressive Democrat’s of doing; You S: Switched the subject, I: Ignored the facts, N: Name called. Now I have to admit I’ve done some name calling; however I stick to the subject and facts consistently.

JimmyMack commented on Saturday, Oct 19, 2013 at 14:10 PM

oK Funk and Sebe. Sometimes I get a little hyped up...especially on game day. I probably should have more self control at my age, but I don't. I apologize for the Krauthammer remark, and switching the subject.

I will try harder but...I ain't switching sides.

The Dawgs (and SC) better win. I picked 'em in the ESPN College Pick'em.

JimmyMack commented on Saturday, Oct 19, 2013 at 16:59 PM

Dawgs go down, Florida goes down, South Carolina goes down plus loses Conner Shaw to injury, Rachel is missing, I screw up this blog site....

I am putting myself in time out fellas for a few days. Sorry if I offended you. I need to regroup.

sebekm commented on Saturday, Oct 19, 2013 at 19:04 PM

When is the last time GA, FL and SC all lost on the same day? Maybe never.

Funkentelecky commented on Saturday, Oct 19, 2013 at 19:35 PM

Now that's ironic!

sebekm commented on Saturday, Oct 19, 2013 at 23:13 PM

....and down go LSU and A&M. At least this year, it just might be:

Alabama and everybody else.

timeontarget commented on Sunday, Oct 20, 2013 at 19:24 PM

Krauthammer's latest column which was published Saturday morning in the Savannah Morning News had some interesting thoughts regarding the use of the word Negro.
