The Liberty County Sheriff's office was just one of several agencies on the scene of a standoff with a man wielding two handguns. According to authorities, the man has been on the rooftop of a house on Wallace Martin Drive since about 4pm.

It was not immediately clear why the man was on the roof with the guns. A new photographer on the scene, Lewis Levine said the man threatened to shoot him when he approached the scene. He left and the man didn't fire on him. About a half hour later, there was a volley of shots, and the man was struck, bringing the standoff to an end. The entire situation lasted for about an hour. Georgia State Patrol, Hinesville Police and Liberty County Sheriffs were all on the scene. The man suffered non-life threatening injuries and was taken to a nearby hospital.
