Jack Kingston states :Now that employees are going to be paid, shouldn't they voluntarily come back to work? Jack believes that federal employees on furlough need to return to work ASAP. The Republicans state they don't feel it's fair for employees on furlough to draw a check and not clock in; it's free money they stated. Republicans also stated the employees on furlough are looking for a hand-out.

PN, No matter how you spin it...Jack will still have my vote.

@Sheran. Your vote is personal. At the end of the day it's your choice and right. So, please vote for the person you choose. Good luck with that.

I agree with Kingston. There is something wrong with a system that pays salaried employees for NOT working. Especially federal employees who are paid with our precious - yes PRECIOUS - tax dollars. A government shutdown is not a paid vacation - despite the Democrats' attitude otherwise.

As I recall, I was on active duty for all 16 (or was it 17?) of those prior government shutdowns. As a U.S. soldier, I was a federal employee. I remember working through every one of those shutdowns. I didn 't get a paid vacation. And if I was a federal employee who wasn't wearing a green suit, I would have felt honor-bound to WORK for my pay check.

So I say: If they are accepting a pay check, they should get their behinds to work.

I agree with Kingston, Sheran and Chief. I worked without pay as a soldier too! So I say to all the federal employees that will eventually be paid, get to work now and contribute to this country as the private sector does.

Watch the debate from last night's show between Republican strategist John Feehery and Dallas Tea Party's Phillip Dennis: Democrats have nothing to worry about in December because the Republican/Tea Party are destroying themselves from within and America is sick of the fake scandals and obstruction. Grab the popcorn- I promise ...

Black voters in Mississippi put the world on notice that they understood there is no such thing as a wrong vote and the only wasted vote is a vote that is not cast. A vote that is not cast does not matter. The Republican primary in Mississippi was won by ...

The Coastal Empire may be preparing for a nude beach in the near future. I've never been to a nude beach but I have friends (east cost) that say it keeps their love life spicy and keeps them motivated to stay in shape. I don't think the Coastal Empire is ...

The educators in Georgia are making their voices known and letting the Governor know that they've not forgotten the raw deal they've been handed since he's been in office. Some of the complaints; he's decimated the HOPE Scholarship and that he's slashed billions from the education budget, causing 9,000 teacher ...
