Please stay sick and forget about healthcare

Some in the GOP are sending a very strong message to the poor and middle class everyday folks. The message is simple;stay sick and eventually die. The GOP message to you is this: they would rather line the pockets of the rich (corporate welfare )than take care of everyday citizens on the front line running the day to day operations of their establishments or working jobs they feel are beneath them.

In fact, the GOP wants to convince you that you don't need healthcare, stay sick, refuse treatment for your sick child, refuse treatment for your parent that's been dealing with a pre-existing condition for years but couldn't get help because they were denied coverage due to their pre-existing condition.

People from Georgia with Medicare saved nearly $198 million on prescription drugs because of the Affordable Care Act.

Up to 4,323,897 non-elderly Georgians with pre-existing conditions, including 613,253 children, can no longer be denied coverage.

And this is what Republicans are trying to take away.

At every level, The Republican Party has been actively working against Obamacare trying to take away accessible, affordable health care from millions of Americans like you. In fact, the Republican-controlled House voted more than 40 times to defund, gut and take away Obamacare's needed protections and services. At every turn, they've been working against the interests of middle-class Americans. Join us and tell these elected officials, enough already!

Don't let the right talk you out of signing up for healthcare. It could ultimately save you or someone you love life.

If you are unable to access the Internet, you can call 1-800-318-2596. If you enroll by December 14, your new health insurance plan will start January 1, 2014. Those who enroll between December 14 and January 31 will see their plans begin February 1. Finally, participants signing up between February and March will begin their plans in the subsequent month. Plans can come with a range of services and price tags, but many Americans seeking coverage will be able to find a plan for less than $100 a month.

All plans bought through the exchanges must offer the same coverage benefits and free preventive care. Under the Affordable Care Act, no one can be turned away, not even those with pre-existing conditions.

Click on the link below to enroll or find additional information.

And stay calm because open enrollment begins Tues, Oct. 1 but lasts until March 31, 2014!

no one is saying don't get health care. we are saying the cost of this plan is not what everyone thinks and will hurt more people then it will help. and not the rick, it will hurt the people it is meant to help. read the help wanted adds on indeed.com , the banks are already hiring 20 and 25 hour a week tellers in a move to get ready for it. people are starting to get there work hours cut. but they can get health care now. they just can't eat and pay bills.

PoliticsNation commented on Wednesday, Oct 02, 2013 at 09:34 AM

@gacp they were cutting hours before the ACA..remember we were losing thousands of jobs by the day before the current administration took office. Employers aren't losing a dime. The CEO's are worried about losing their million dollar bonus and 7-8 digit salaries. Small business are exempt from spending money on this for years. They have subsides for them. People are afraid of change.

keep on believing the lies.

Hey, my son loved to watch "Chicken Little" growing up...Let's leave the chicken out of this one..How about "Green Eggs and Ham"...

Yes - that's Ted Cruz' mantra. He may be the only one who "gains" out of all of this.

JimmyMack commented on Wednesday, Oct 02, 2013 at 16:26 PM

My two cents: ACA or Obama Care was based upon Republican Mitt Romney's insurance Plan for folks in Massachusetts. The Obama team studied what worked and what did not work in Massachusetts before getting it legislated Nationally. So in effect we now have a hostile Republican Congress holding the Nation Hostage based on Legislation that originated from one of their own and was their Presidential Candidate.

This would be funny if it were not true. Republicans will pay at the polls when the mid-term elections roll around because of this debacle fueled by extremists within their ranks.

HMJC commented on Wednesday, Oct 02, 2013 at 16:48 PM

Jimmy, you have a LOT of faith in your team. However, the country does not want this program for the most part. This does not make healthcare anymore accessible before it was hatched. What it does do is increase the burdon on taxpayers that were already paying for the medicaid and medicare programs. Furthermore the mandatory enrollement is once again designed to generate revenue by the threat of being "fined" if one does not participate BTW current polls reflect that ~%25 of Americans plan to not enroll and be "fined". The other reality is obmamcare is far from paid for, all of the magic funding that was suppossed to appear has not come to full fruition to date which means the program is starting ot in the hole which is even more reason to delay the program until it truly is ready to push forward. The comments have been made that this all about hating obama. I would offer that it is about the president and his party being more committed to pushing through their hallmark legislation at any cost as oppssossed to what is best for America right now. That really needs to be the question, is this what America needs most right now? The answer is no but it is what obama needs most right now.

@HMJC. I guess that's why the system is overloaded with millions of people signing up including hard nose Republicans.

it's also been overloaded with the following questions today.

when do i get my subsidy check?

why is it not free?

i was suppose to be free?

how do i get a exception?

PN, what say you about Sherans post at 20:42.

icyman61 commented on Thursday, Oct 03, 2013 at 00:29 AM

Its really not about health care, wake up watch closely, its about control, read the whole obamacare bill, VERY CAREFULLY!

Investigate your self otherwise you wont believe people!

Funkentelecky commented on Thursday, Oct 03, 2013 at 05:31 AM

Welcome icyman61, Nancy Pelosi told us we have to read it to find out what's in it!

PoliticsNation commented on Thursday, Oct 03, 2013 at 08:20 AM

@Funk. You would welcome the devil if he agrees with you (smiling)...

HMJC commented on Thursday, Oct 03, 2013 at 08:21 AM

People are signing up in the hopes that their cost would be lower. However, the eligiblty for subsidies is not quite as generous as advertized. Remember, obama stated that most Americans would be eligble for a subsidy; at this point most Americans are finding out that they are not eligible and further more want to dis-enroll. As for whats is the bill; Icy is correct. There are so many provisions and riders attached that are programed to be effective for years. I guess we might want to read the fine print...

PoliticsNation commented on Thursday, Oct 03, 2013 at 08:43 AM

@HMJC-I agree the law needs to be tweaked but this isn't the time to tweak the bill. Furthermore, there are people that love it and some that will never love it. This reminds me of the fight against o Social Security and Medicare. I have decades to go before I qualify for either one but I hope it's there for me when I do.

sebekm commented on Thursday, Oct 03, 2013 at 11:54 AM

"I guess we might want to read the fine print..."

It appears that nobody - least of all the politicians and elected representatives who rammed it through - have bothered to read it YET:

It's not just Engel, it's Waxman, Cardin, and just about every other Democrat who has been asked whether they've read the dam' thing. This legislation was passed based upon arm-twisting by the White House - especially it's former Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel - because Mr. Obama "wanted to go down in history" as having "reformed" health care. The fight is about his legacy in this regard. Unfortunately - I predict his legacy will be how ObamaCare clobbered U.S. business and jobs.

No amount of "tweaking" will fix that problem - a major overhaul is needed. It wouldn't have been if they had anticipated the problem and planned for it to begin with.
