Remember "Schoolhouse Rock"? The lesson on how a bill becomes law?

Congressional Republicans don't. In fact, as this week shows, they have a whole new approach in mind.

In case you've forgotten how it works; video attached for your review..

I remember watching this with my kids when they were growing up. It's not just conservatives who have forgotten how the system is supposed to work - BOTH SIDES no longer understand the meaning of "compromise" and "reconciliation."

@Seb-I agree.

I too agree and for that reason I've decided to vote against any and all incumbents.

Our gridlock is the direct result of the two party lock on access to our primary elections.

Party loyalty is rewarded to members of the house and senate at our expense.

By the way it is my understanding that neither the democratic or republican party are actually a part of our government.

They are both private organizations maybe not for profit however their profit is achieved by gaining power within our federal government.

They operate with funds donated by political action comities and highly paid lobbyist, who are destroying this country.

PN I enjoyed the little video and I feel that it is in fact party neutral.

@tot- glad you enjoyed the video. It's one of my favorites.

This is one of my favorites too, and this bill died in committee and Democrat liberal progressives don’t even care even though it would have passed if it was sent to the house floor and we wouldn’t be where we are now in regards to Obamacare. This is proof that Obama and the Democrats don’t really care.

The proposed plan is now titled HR2300.
