Delbert Benton is a World War II Veteran in the battle in Okinawa and survived his wounds, and served our country proudly. This happened last month and where were President Obama, Al Sharpton and Jessie Jackson. Is it ok for blacks to just wantonly kill whites without any regard to personal life?

I believe you think this crime should be classified a 'hate' crime, is that correct Funk?

I can concur on that.

Yes Jimmy, and the President should have addressed this travesty because he represents us all.

Funk, When I was a young adult the world for the most part still believed that if out of wedlock sex resulted in an unplanned pregnancy the proper thing was for the man to marry the woman and help in the upbringing of the child.

Often called shotgun weddings.

Some even believed that a bastard child could not receive the gift of salvation.

That may not have been true but now we have a nation with ever increasing numbers of bastard children.

Bastards I suppose don't have the same standards of discipline and order in their lives.

Over the past half century we have steadily drifted away from the church and incidents such as this is the result.

Thanks for your comments TOT, should still be living today and afforded the dignity of dying from natural causes instead of this cowardly death from the perpetrators.

Delbert Benton of course.

timeontarget commented on Tuesday, Sep 17, 2013 at 06:07 AM

He most certainly deserved a peaceful end.

His death and the circumstances are yet another sign of our continuing moral rot as a society.

The Progressives aka Liberals are responsible for our declining standards as a society as a whole.

Obamacare and the CBO -- No Longer 'Giddy'
June 29, 2014
How critical to the passage of Obamacare was the 2010 “score” given the legislation by the Congressional Budget Office? Recall the President’s signature legislation barely passed, and squeaked by along party lines -- without a single Republican vote. Before the vote, congressional Democrats waited for the non-partisan Congressional Budget Office ...
