It still befuddles the hell out of me the whole concept of if we tax the rich it will all be better. How about we have people who don't pay taxes pay a little? I do not care what study you put in front of me; you cannot convince me that all fo our finacial woes are largely due to the wealthy and them not paying enough taxes. I guess there is no way it could be due to entitlement programs and failed foriegn aid fiascos... Continuing to blame our economic demise on the rich is a copout period point blank. There is a whole lot more to the issue and most reasonable thinkers acknowledge this. Wealth Distribtion = Socialism for which I niether need nor want any part of.
PN, I mean no disrespect, just tired of this being the focus. No one can tell me there are not hundreds of frivolous government programs wasting billions of dollars that could not be recouped. I am not even close to a rich man, probaly closer to the later to be honest however I do not hold the rich responsible for my lack thereof change in my pocket. Nor do I ask the rich to supplement the change in my pocket, I work for it everyday like less than 50% of the country that holds down a fulltime job. I dont want the rich to solve my economic woes, I want my government to remove their head from their third point of contact and do what is right for 100% of the country. Not too much to ask if ya ask me. PN, you write well written informative blogs; I just don't agree with most of them. Thats ok, doesn't mean you are wrong, just means I don't agree with ya. Thats the great thing about a free country, we can agree to disagree and move on which believe it or not is what I do.
Great blog PN, which acknowledges the fact that overbearing regulations, raising taxes and too much big government, has led to less prosperity for the rest of us under the Obama administration. How can this cruel conservative/libertarian say such and be so cruel towards the have-nots? Just research US history in regards to economic recoveries after a recession. What you will find is that the bigger the recession , the greater the recovery except for the New Deal and the Presidency of our first black President who happens to probably be our Greatest Anti-Capitalist CEO in US History. Big Government has corrupted some of the greatest minds in this country that it can promote and guarantee the opportunity and “Pursuit of Happiness” for all!
Tax rates are at the lowest rates in 60 years. Company stock shoots up when people get laid off.
60 years will take us back to 1953, so this statement is a flat out lie. Tax rates were raised from 35% to 39% for the top income earners in 2013. Additionally under Ronal Reagan the tax rate was 28% which culminated in a great economic boom for all during his tenure.
Obama, Obama, Obama, Obama, Obama….Obama.Oh.Bama
How Obama got elected!
