Well said HMJC! Can't wait for the speech later on tonight.... DVD night for me cause tomorrow will be: What did he say? What did he mean? Every News channel on TV will be analyzing his every word!
We are clearly the tail being wagged by the dog. It is pathetic. Events and our international adversaries are making us look like chumps.
This was sent to me thought I would share.
I do want to be clear about one thing, I truly wish things were different for obama however as previously posted he is not a victim as most would like to blame his failures on. He sits down when he should stand up, he gets behind issues that generate press but are not for the greater good (DOMA. Immigration, and yes obamacare 13%). He does not carry himself as a statesmen or a patriot. He constantly apolgizes as opposed to simply acknowledging and moving. He has no poise and absolutley has no respect of any world leader unless they need money. I am not suggesting that we become a bully however, the age of kowtowing and apology diplomacy has to stop. The Syria debacle has a lot more second and third order effects. Putin has managed to paint us as a once again (almost) shoot first ask questons latter. I am not sure where he goes from here. One thing is for sure, it can only be up...
Here's USATODAY.com's interpretation of key elements of his speech last night:
See especially #4 and #6.
The itsy bitsy spider climbed up the water spout.
Down came the rain and washed the spider out.
Out came the sun and dried up all the rain.
And the itsy bitsy spider climbed up the spout again.
Putin really stuck it to the President (and us) in an "address to the American people" that was published in The New York Times. Check out this opinion piece by The Guardian, which has a link to the address:
Once again Putin has outplayed obama. Granted putin is a charlton but at least he knows when to play his hand. The best thing obama could do for this country right now is resign. He has lost all credibility in the world arena and almost single handedly made a mockery of his country and his people. I am desperate enough to take Hillary at this point... geezzz...
Hi HMJC: Well, you know he ain't a gonna resign. But I do like your Hillary choice!
You know I been a ponderin' on this poison gas thing, all them muslims mixed amongst each other, which ones are the "good" ones and which ones are the "bad" ones, we are damned if we do something, damned if we think about what to do for too long, and damned if we don't do anything!
I know that Oil is the Elephant in the room. But even with Big Oil in the picture, our main concern should be opposing anything that threatens our only sure ally in that area of the world, Israel. Though I was personally looking forward somewhat to some of those camera mounted rockets slamming into Syrian Airfields, destroying poison gas sights etc. etc. I think I might can live with the fact of just lettin' 'em all keep killing each other while maintaining vigilance towards Israel's security.
