Good stuff, and it is sad that abuses like what he, apparently, did slip threw the system. It is an outrage. My father served in Viet Nam twice, was hit in the leg with shrapnel from a grenade, and still continued to serve. He then was shot in the left hand, loosing all fingers except for his thumb and pinkie in his left hand. And now retirees like him, have to pay a co-pay for their medical coverage...an outrage to hear a case like this. Also in the video is the comment of the current Vets waiting for disability claims from Post Traumatic Stress. Though the senator was using the statement as support for her views, this number is also an outrage. I know there are a lot of PTS cases that are valid, but in my opinion, many cases are simply people trying to con the system and get a VA check. There needs to be tighter guidelines on all of the medical benefits for Vets, and focus more on the retired soldiers. And I say that as a Vet who served one tour as Infantryman in the Army.

is a direct insult to anyone who has served and subsequently have service connected disabilities. Although I am sure there are some the "play" the system I would ask that you do not generalize those that have earned access to care because of serving their country

Fair enough, it is important to weed out such instances as it takes away from those that really do need it but are waiting because of the backlog at the VA
