It has been implied that North Korea will launch some type of missle "test" tomorrow. If this does occur I really can't call what the next step is going to be. If it is launched towards South Korea or Japan the answer is obvious. However, if the spoiled man child only conducts a "test" what then? The international communitiy is well accustomed to North Korean saber rattling. It is speculated that is the usual lead up to getting the U.S. back to the table to lift some of the sanctions. Maybe it's just me but that hasn't bore much fruit. Now lets go a little conspiracy theory; right now we have Iran continuing to move forward with it nuclear program. This is also a tipping point for Isreal. Syria continues to rage on with the possibility of some of the biological weapons getting into the wrong hands. We are still in "Persistent Conflict" in Afghanistan all the while drawing down a trained force due to sequestor. I realize this is a little far left but you have to admit, there are elements that could form the "Perfect Storm" And Yes, this could all be predicated by the brash actions of a narcissistic "leader" that thinks he is Infallible.

Any scenerio if played out is scary. I can't really call China although they have too much to lose in the global market if they back North Korea with their military. Another factor to consider if you are of the doomsday mindset is; historicaly when a nation is fighting a war on two or more fronts it either results in increased casualties and cost or ultimately losing the war. My intent of the initial post was solicit opinions on one, what will be the no s@@t trigger point for a military response and two, how severe will it be? I know one thing for sure, we cannot afford to blow up another country and finance the rebuilding process considering we can't even do that for our own...

Lets hope that never becomes the the case my fellow blogger. I would almost venture to say though that the lack of media coverage speaks to how serious North Korea is being taken; just hope they are right.

i think the wild card is china. they have always backed NK. but this time i think they are massing on the NK boarder to keep people there (military and civilian) from running to china. the last thing they want is our military running toward their boarder running down the NK military. not to mention they don't want a nuke, even a small one to go off in their neighborhood.

GOP Has to make opportunity count
November 17, 2014
The GOP is at a crucial crossroads right now. America has made it pretty clear how much faith it had in the current status quo. Even though I have always leaned towards the GOP side of the house this does negate the expectations I personally have for them. The GOP ...

ISIL, The Next 10 Year War
November 04, 2014
As election day comes and goes our Commander and Chump is quietly drawing us deeper and deeper into the ISIL debacle. I had blogged previously about the ineffectiveness of the current effort. Utilizing air strikes has been completely ineffective to date. The reason this is a flawed response is the ...

"Greater Good"
October 28, 2014
“Greater Good”, a point or ideology that has been defined, perceived, twisted, etc. So what does this mean? Is it fair to even apply this concept as at the end of the day whatever the definition is construed; Man is still making that determination. So now here we are with ...

Crossroads
October 15, 2014
After pursing the “headlines” for the last couple of days it seems painfully apparent to me that our nation is at a perilous crossroad. We are mired in such discord that your average Dooms Day Prepper is doing jumping jacks saying “I told You So….” I try to do my ...

ISIS Endstate
October 08, 2014
Am I the only one that is concerned with the ineffective air campaign against ISIS? We seem to be going down the same road we did with Libya in regard to airstrikes that destabilize the region and disrupt the “enemy” but bring no semblance of peace and stability. Libya is ...
