I find it interesting that our politcial climate right now finds that endorsing gay marriage is the most important issue that needs addressing. It seems that the economy, gun control, and the middle east must be doing fine as there is zero movement in those areas... At this point in my life, if you are hell bent on being gay, be gay. Is this the single most important issue facing our country right now? No, but it is much easier to pander and work towards advancing ones personal agenda than addressing our current state of affairs. I would say that it befuddles me that this is the status quo but we all know that is SOP now. We continue to slip away from being the greatest nation and seem to be moving towards the next great social expeirment. Truly a shame.

it's all to make people look away from the real problems.

Agreed. As a national political issue, "homosexual marriage" is CLASSIC misdirection and obfuscation. As a priority on what ails this country, it is WAY down the list. But it's one way the incumbent administration can pander to an element of their base while changing the subject from our real problems.

The ISIL Solution...
September 23, 2014
I am a little distressed with our Commander and Chumps methodology to address the ISIL. He has zero military experience and has already displayed a complete ineptness dealing with foreign policy. 9/11
September 11, 2014
My heart is very heavy today; the 13th anniversary of 9/11 still seems like it was yesterday… I remember being in the TOC in Bosnia watching on the screen just like it was yesterday. The same feelings of shock, sadness, and anger are still just as intense as it was ...

Black Officer Shoots White?Hispanic Teen;
August 26, 2014
White/Hispanic unarmed white young male shot by black police officer. I don't recall the white house making any statements and I wonder if they will send any aides to this young mans funeral. As long as we continue to perpetuate "it's ok he's black" this double standard will continue to ...

Race Based Hate Crimes are Color Blind
August 20, 2014
As the Ferguson fiasco continues most of the claims have been that the white community is guilty of race based violence and purported inequities. The link below denotes more race based hate crimes primarily against whites. My question is; should the "white" community in DC be rioting and demanding change? ...

As the Ferguson MO. debacle continues to spiral out of control I have a couple of what if's o What if once all the FACTS are sorted out and it is found that Mr. Brown had culpability that directly contributed to his demise? o What if the raw conversation captured ...
