Oh what Jeff Foxworthy could do with this article. Let's think about this for a second. Let's see, there's drainage ditch ski-ing, Hover-round chair driving obstacle course, auto speeding/reckless driving in Hinesville's neighborhoods, especially on North Maple Drive. Then there's cow-patty football tournaments, and also denture wearing, in-the-mouth, rattling exhibitions. Yep, the contestants in this event can drop their upper or lower dentures onto their tongues, stick them out on display, for all to see, and then with one mind-blowing maneuver, reposition the dentures back into their proper position. Finally, I don't want to forget the cultural, lip-syncing, poetry recitals conducted in our courthouses, as well as miscellaneous local government buildings by such colorful locals such as Bubba & Cleetus. I'm sure you'll love those southern, "down-home" pronunciations of words like "once", pronounced locally as "once'st", then there's the word "specific", pronounced "pacific", and also the word "asbestos", pronouced "al-bestos" by my local southern brothers and sisters. So, if your a yankee transplant, and plan to attend one of these recitals bring a local with you and enjoy the moment. Have a nice day y'all.

I'm surprised there isn't more interest in Adult Continuing Education Classes for "English as a 2nd Language" among the local populace... VBG

When I was young we'd travel to the Coastal empire fair in Savannah.

The freak shows were always interesting to this little boy.

Now you can see them at the Huddle house on Sunday morning.

Sooner or later we'll see them wearing bones in their nose.

Representative Governmemnt?
December 22, 2017
I ask who do our elected representatives represent? It's not me, or you. It's not the working, taxpaying, property owning, or the voting citizens that they begged to be elected by. It's not any of the aforementioned citizenry. For example, take yesterdays vote & decision by the Georgia Public Service ...

Liberty County's Fire & Emergency Service Plan
September 15, 2017
Our elected county representatives are acting without the consent of the governed. As citizens are busy trying to make ends meet by chasing the dollar to support their families, make mortgage payments, insurance invoices, paying utility bills, car payments, buying unimportant things like groceries, medical dental bills, and such, our ...

Is it Really A Cult?
May 21, 2017
Today's edition of The Coastal Courier features a story about House of Prayer Church members. Members are protesting outside of this, so-called, House of God. I, like the story unfolds &reflects, have thought that this group of worshipers, are, infact, some kind of religious cult. I don't know. Questions; I ...
